EXACTLY if you have never STUDIED the Bible you have no ability to understand. There is a reason the Bible has been around for over 2000 years. There is a reason the Bible is the most printed book in the World. BTW you can only define it one way and that takes some earnest playful work to do it. You have to interpret it so the interpretation does not disagree with other areas of the Bible and that takes work.

I was raised Catholic and was deep into the bible. The impossible stories and contradictions drove me away when I was about 10. I find it weird that we have 4000 religions on the planet and every single believer was born in the one true one. Religion is self-delusion on a scale I cannot manage.
