IMO most of us are just fine with religious people enjoying their faith and doing good for others. What we object to is when some of them insist that their religion become officially part of the government and the rule of law. Examples: Posting Bible stuff (10 commendments) in public schools. Prayer in public schools sanctioned by the school personnel. Teaching of the fiction of "intelligent design" in public school science classes. Making idols out of the likes of Trump and Kirk. Discrimination against other Americans based on religion. Weaponizing their faith in order to harm others. Using their pulpits to preach politics in violation of law and not losing their tax exempt status. Whining about "persecution" when not allowed to do any of the above.

It's amusing that some virtue-signaling fake Xtians seem to believe that we non-Xtians and atheists are selfish non-contributors to our communities. Unlike them, we don't feel the need to constant bleat about "donations" and "helping others" and trumpeting our goodness on the Internet's street corners. What was that thing Jesus said again?

Thanks, Owlie. The double-standards trumptards impose on others and their ignorance about how life really works is quite the phenomenon. South Park actually did a real good takedown of the trumptards myth that "trans people want to use restrooms to peek and rape people"? No. Trans people just want to be left alone and live their life. The people you really need to watch out for are clergymen, scoutmasters, gymnastic and wrestling doctors - this was the message South Park got across - they did a spoof about this "macho" scoutmaster that wanted to perv on little boys.

I don't think this is true of all religious people - but I think some seek out religion to fill a void in their unhappy lives. I also hate that people like our friend RB actually think that if we don't accept THEIR savior, that we are doomed and forever damned. It's very similar to trumpism - it's "my way or the highway" both with trumptards and with evangelicals! And also with evangelicas they'll latch onto any demon to get their way, even a twice impeached, convicted fraudster and rapist.
