In fact, Putin's war is the cause of inflation. Biden did not cause it. However, it is already mitigating because Europe has found the resources for oil and Russian products. Putin is doing long-term economic damage to Russia. Russia will not be trusted again unless Trump cheats his way into office.

US oil companies, like Exxon, had record setting profits. But you know, Biden made gas prices go up. Not Exxon.

How did he do that? Putin disturbed the world oil supply and the food supply. Oil companies saw a chance to loot. Several corporations talked about loving inflation because that could crank prices up over the real inflation numbers. And when it is resolved, they would slowly drop prices making bank all the way down.
If you paid attention to barrel prices and gas station prices, you would see them in action. When the barrel went up, prices jumped up immediately. When it dropped, prices would take time to lower. Oil companies made a lot during the intervals.
