How did this become a liberal/conservative thing? I get the point of the OP about rich and the non-rich (although it is not something new).
Unless he is the District Attorney then your statement was false. Nobody here has attempted to justify anything whether or not they are "conservative". So far Yurt has simply pointed out to you attempting to excuse yourself for an action of employment isn't the same thing as justifying another's actions.
cute...when you finally realize you're wrong...CHANGE your stance...unfortunately for you your words are still there in black and white:
simply stated....no one has justified the moron's actions...but you staphagetard ignorantly cling to your false notions
Well, the second post was about "conservatives" it progressed from there. How did this become a liberal/conservative thing? I get the point of the OP about rich and the non-rich (although it is not something new).

Zappapatoot-sky is on a roll...
Well actually Zap is ALWAYS on a roll!!!![]()
dumb question....but the answer is...it is against the law
answer me this:
do DA's hand out misdemeanors for not breaking the law?
Because you won't accept PM's, here's my response to your PM to me.
Take me to task in public, I welcome it. Give me your best shot, and I will do the same. That is what the board is about, having the courage to stand up for what you believe, not throw stones from a hiding place. I consider your neg reps the act of a coward.

And any old opportunity to slam a conservative cannot go by.
If Mother Theresa was a conservative and passed gas they would be all over this like a wet overcoat about the partisanship of it all!
You've got to understand...disloyal is just too gutless to say what she's got to say out here where everyone can see...if she did that, then everyone would see her for the filth slinging harridan she truly is.
Listen little girl, I've been around since the days when liberals ran this country, and I've witnessed what 30+ years of conservative dominated politics and government has led to.
A police state that locks up more human beings than China and Russia, a middle class that is almost extinct and a bunch of right wing authoritarians running the Republican party.
PAY ATTENTION...you won't have to look very far on this board to find 'conservatives' constantly defend the wealthy and elite, and to go even farther, they will demean and diminish the poor.
In this case, this gentleman probably has enough in savings to pay any litigation amount this guy could win. First make him pay reparations, then send him to prison after he has fulfilled his obligation to the life he has destroyed.
No they don't.
Now let's see what constitutes a misdemeamor...me and some friends were spending a weekend in Vegas. One of my buddies had a few too many "free beers" the casinos offered and was loudly "serenading' the public as we walked from one casino to the next. We were stopped and told if we didn't quiet my buddy down, he'd get charged with MISDEMEANOR PUBLIC INTOXICATION.
Most sane people would conclude that the offense committed by that inattentive driver rose to a much higher level than being bothered by an annoying drunk's off key vocal stylings.
But you're the coward; for refusing to address the Tofu Buger Kid's Meal, on a different thread.
people take convictions all the time that are below their actual crimes....sheesh zappa, you're just being plain dumb here....
the DA convicted him for a crime, the conviction was a lesser amount that was completely within the DA's discretion and within the law....you may not agree with his decision to have the guy get a lesser conviction, but he did not in any way shape or form justify the guys actions...he gave him the lesser charege because he believed it would result in a larger monetary punishment....too bad you don't like that justice, but in the end, the DA gave him what he thought was appropriate justice
I did...I told you I took your word for it.
Why won't you answer a simple and straight forward question, instead of posing a goofy 'Tofu Buger Kid's Meal' challenge?
You want government to stay our of our lives and keep their hands off corporations, does that include no inspection and regulation of our food supply?
Sure he did...he justified the reduction of charges by claiming the criminal needed to keep working to better pay for any financial obligations.
The DA in Vail just established precedent to allow ANY rich criminal to avoid conviction/jail on the basis that he can better "pay his debt" if he can continue working.
The bottom line is the hit & run driver will suffer no hardship whatsoever.
He won't endure any financial hardship since he can continue to work while living in his spacious home and he also avoids the physical hardships that jail can inflict.
The bottom line is he avoids doing any jail time for a crime that, if you or I were to commit it, would certainly result n SUBSTANTIAL jail time.
