Democrats are REALLY foaming at the mouth to use one of these INCREDIBLY rare shooting events to FURTHER destroy the Constitution and country.

Democrats really are vastly more dangerous than a million so-called mass shooters, and they've been proving it for the last 5 years; they're 21st century Nazis.

Really?

When 500 million people die in one year because of teabagger (www.teaparty.org) inaction, get back to us.

Banning unhealthy foods would lessen obesity related deaths. Why don't we do that?

Not bad, now your getting the picture.
"Unhealthy foods" vs unhealthy guns................Military type assault weapons, that are of no use but killing humans at a rapid rate.
Do you want to ban ALL foods?
No, just the unhealthy ones.

Guess you didn't hear about covid virus deaths, 500,000, NOT 500 MILLION it's been in the news.

Oh - the 500k natural deaths from underlying conditions/co-morbidities falsely attributed to Covid due to the deranged Nazism of Democrat terrorists; yes - I'm aware of that.

Okay, so we all know that Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa went postal in Boulder, CO grocery store this pas Monday. He killed a bunch of people before getting shot by the cops and surrendering. So far, the cops are saying it doesn't look like a American got "radicalized" by Islamic extremism. Instead, according to family and friends, the guy seems to be 1 brick shy of a load. The kicker is just 4 days before junior went off the very ban on the weapon he used was over turned by the district courts.

Now on one end you have the gun control folk and Democratic majority banging the table saying, "See! Get these damned things (assault weapons, i.e. the AR-15 type rifles) out of general population circulation! Ban them! "

On the other end you have the 2nd Amendment folk and Republican majority banging the table saying, "See! Muslim extremists/terrorists are here! It's not the guns, it's them!"

My take is this: If junior had no criminal record or official record of psychological problems, a 7 day waiting period for a background check wouldn't have made a difference. He would have every legal right under Colorado law to buy that weapon. You can only go far in trying to legislate against crazy.

BUT

Once again, the weapon of choice for mass shooters is the AR-15....a sweet little versatile weapon that does EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS DESIGNED FOR....ASSAULTING AND KILLING PEOPLE WITH ACCURACY (as much as the user can apply). Now people will debate until doomsday as to whether the same amount of damage could have been done with other types of rifles or a handgun (or handguns).

BUT

We will NEVER know if the AR-15 is available to ANYONE, ANY TIME, ANY WHERE.

And the band played on. :|

We do have very short memories now don't we, a Week before the shooting in Colorado we had a shooting in Georgia. In Colorado the shooter managed to kill 10 People in a busy Grocery store and in Georgia the shooter was able to kill 8 People in three different business. In Georgia the shooting had to go to several different place to do his shooting meaning his task was slightly more difficult. In Georgia the shooting used a Handgun and no one was saying ban all handguns instead they made the claim that is was racially motivated, which it was not. In Colorado the shooter used an AR and the motive is unknown other than he is completely nuts, but the calls to ban AR's began on day 1 and have not stopped.
So what can we conclude, well it is obvious the Handgun can do the job every bot as good as an AR when in confined spaces, that both cases, as with most mass shootings the shooter was mentally ill, that we ignore Handguns when used in these shootings but by God we have to ban AR's.
Want to know why that is, it is because the government will Never be able to ban Handguns, too many Liberals also own them, but it is easier to focus on those scary black guns and ban them to get a false sense of security, all so we can avoid the Elephant in the room Mental Illness.

Too bad Republicans keep trying to ignore the fact that better gun control and removing assault weapons from the general population lessens gun related deaths. Gun Manufacturers need sales, politicians need money...a match made in hell for the American people.

I agree with the Republicans that stripping citizens of rights is not the best path for peace, prosperity and American ideals.

Why do you think Democrats prioritize gun bans over better mental health care despite the fact all of these mass shootings were done by nutjobs?

I have one just like it. Word of caution, when posting picture of your firearms, if that is yours, do not show the serial number.

Mine is identical to the one pictured. It is the .45LC/.45ACP Blackhawk convertible, which is why it's pictured with a second cylinder.
I'd never show any of my firearm's serial numbers, most are unregistered.

Smart. Mine is the .44mag version, took a while to learn to shoot it well, the grip takes some getting used to when you are used to Semiautos. The fun thing is when you shoot at night, the flame coming out of the muzzle is awesome.

You should get into black powder. You can see the "flame" in the daylight (the moment before the cloud of smoke that covers the target for a few moments). Lots of fun, but you burn a lot of powder.
I actually like my Blackhawk, especially the .45ACP cylinder for practice. A lot cheaper to shoot than the .45LC, but the .45LC (with hand-cast hollowpoints) is what I keep loaded for protection. It's quite a bit easier to handle than the Colt .45LC Buntline (12" barrel) and I've become rather proficient with it.

I seen an AR-15,” Russell told the TV station. "[That] kind of startled me, with the events that recently happened in the grocery store up in Colorado. To be able to stop it [a shooting], if it were going to be something, that’s what I cared about.”

Colorado shooting suspect appears in court; lawyer cites ‘mental illness’

Atlanta police spokesman Anthony Grant said officers responded to the Atlanta Station Publix at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday and saw Marley leaving the bathroom. Grant said the officers quickly held Marley for questioning, and found two long guns and three pistols concealed on him. Police later said a sixth gun was in his possession as well.

Police have been working since then to determine what Marley planned to do with the arsenal. There were no reports of Marley pointing a weapon or using one before authorities arrived.

...

The incident happened days after eight people, including six women of Asian descent, were fatally shot at three massage businesses in the Atlanta area.

Rico Marley, 22, was scheduled for an initial court hearing Thursday on charges including weapons possession during an attempt to commit felonies. Investigators also said Marley was undergoing a psychiatric evaluation. It’s unclear whether he had an attorney. "

Hey. Ya never know when a squabble might break out in the dairy isle over getting the butter. Better take an arsenal to go shopping.

What I wonder is how much did all that steal and lead weigh? This guy looks like he had over a hundred pounds of weaponry on him easy.

And the other one is how in the world is he gonna shoot all those at the same time with two hands?

What a NUTCASE!

"steal"? Maybe you should learn to spell before you criticize...

I have a Hawken in .50 cal so I know about it somewhat, have not shot the thing in ages. Built from a kit on a whim, great rifle and have used it once to hunt deer with, only got a doe with it but it drop her like a rock and really did not do the damage I thought it would. Always keep plenty of ball, caps and power to run it for a long while, just in case. Have only fired one black power handgun, and yes, that was a new experience.

Only have two Single Action Pistols, the SBH and a Heritage in .22LR/WMG, bought extra cylinders so we have two of each along with a pouch tp carry them, The wife got it when we were just browsing the gun cases at Cabela's one day, she loved the handles, and the price was excellent, was a great find and the thing works like a champ and the quality was amazing when I considered the price she got it for. Heck of a lot cheaper to plink with than the .44Mag.

Too bad Democrats keep focusing on banning guns instead of identifying and treating mental illness.

I'm all for indentifying and treating mental illness, better healthcare in general would be fantastic. But we also need a multi-pronged approach. I know you're probably one of those"BoTh SiDeS" people, but Trump rolled back an Obama era EO that made it harder for the mentally ill to purchase firearms. Trump actively made the the problem that you seem to think would address the issue WORSE.

You also have to look at it from this angle. Who decides who is mentally ill? Conservatives are worried that the government might take that too far and just start deeming everyone they don't agree with unfit for a weapon.

My point is there's no one singular perfect solution. There's a mental health aspect to it for sure, but there's also an undeniable ease-of access aspect to the issue.

Republicans always say "now is not the time" to discuss gun control after a shooting, but with so many shootings a year, how in the FUCK will we ever find the time?
