The Affidavit

Trump was no longer president when these crimes occured...

It does not matter if Trump had declassified (he had not) the documents, taking them was still illegal.

Pretending you returned the items, when you had not is called obstruction of justice.

Trump seems to claim that as FPOTUS he is above the law and he aint.

They claimed they were being cooperative, while not being cooperative. There is video.

There was a subpoena asking for ALL of these documents, yet, after MAGA land claimed they obeyed the subpoena the FBI found more of these documents still in the storeroom.

I know. This is a letter from trump's shitty attorney and celtictguy thinks we're going to buy it and say, "OK"!

David Petraeus got two years probation and a $100,000 fine for MUCH less, Petraeus only had one document.

Im pretty sure Trump is getting prosecuted.

Sandy Berger was fined for taking documents out of the Archives. No one is above the law.

We got exactly what we thought we would get from your fascist regime,, its corrupt courts, and its gestapo enforcers; blank pages.

Cry more, trumptard. We're very sorry you got your fat ass kicked in 2020 and that your coup failed.

He was when they were boxed and marked for shipping.

See the 2nd item in lawyer letter for the rest.

Or just wait and we may see what actual judges think about it (if DoJ decides to actually file charges).

Or maybe SCOTUS will save everyone a lot of tax dollars and tell us what the Constitution really has to say about it.

After all, your opinion, my opinion every talking head's opinions make no difference at all.

He's going to be charged. He stole those documents then "shone on" the DOJ and Archives for over a year, claiming he'd return them.

I'm glad most Americans aren't as foolish as you.

What kind of justice did we get under Bill Barr???????????????????

Bill Barr was hired for one reason: He promised to be trump's AG and not the American people's. He shut down and whitewashed the Mueller investigation. That was his role. He's a traitor, trying to recoup is broken reputation like the rest of them now.

I hope he has a terrible accident.

There was no way a document prepared by the FBI justifying the search was going to make Trump look good, but he got the idea into his head that by demanding its release even in redacted form against the bureau's objections he would become the tough guy getting his way. Instead, all he gets is Garland telling the FBI's side of the story without interruption.

Except the trumptards are all banking on trump's lawyers letter telling the whole story. They're like moths to a flame, only for twumptards the "flame" is twump propaganda.

1 so it invalidated your argument.
2 he read them so he knows the contents that neither of us do.
3 so ? they can have them back when he's done with them
4 yes because they were no longer classified. Did you expect him to scratch out all the little codes ?
5 the two points detailed in the lawyer letter.

"4 yes because they were no longer classified. Did you expect him to scratch out all the little codes ?"

Bullshit. He had no right to the documents. He's a criminal.

what perjury? and please give a link to something other than garbage. AP news will work.

LOL.. good luck with this. I've been trying to get the troll to show proof the election was stolen in 2020. All he'll say is that he already provided it to someone else years ago, and that would satisfy me.

He's just an evil, ignorant, raging troll.

Let's see...

Reading through it...

1. The National Archives and FBI knew the documents were there and exactly where they were.
2. The National Archives and FBI had previously visited the property and that's why they knew the documents were there.

So, did Trump stop them from taking these documents on previous visits?

If the answer is yes, they might have something.

If the answer is no, then the FBI and DoJ just screwed the pooch.

The FBI had a legal order to retrieve the documents after NARA and the DOJ tried to get him to do it for over a year.

He had no right to the stuff. He's a criminal. End of story.

It appears so, Chief. How many classified documents and pieces of Navy property did you take home when you retired? Do you still have them? Are they in a safe or a box in your basement?

It's OK. TA had a "standing order" to take them. The only thing is only he and his lawyers have ever heard of this "standing order". No one who was back at the White House at the time seems to know what he's talking about.

Like he points out with Trump, the documents and property were in Gardner's possession, therefore he had a right to take them home.
