He's going to be charged. He stole those documents then "shone on" the DOJ and Archives for over a year, claiming he'd return them.

The FBI had a legal order to retrieve the documents after NARA and the DOJ tried to get him to do it for over a year.

He had no right to the stuff. He's a criminal. End of story.

It's OK. TA had a "standing order" to take them. The only thing is only he and his lawyers have ever heard of this "standing order". No one who was back at the White House at the time seems to know what he's talking about.

Like he points out with Trump, the documents and property were in Gardner's possession, therefore he had a right to take them home.
