trump did this as a fundraising scam. He knew that the affadivit would be redacted. He also knew that it would be damning.

If he's going down, he's going to rape his donors all the way down to hell.

they redacted everything except "and therefore I feel there is probable cause"......which is not properly the conclusion the guy writing the affidavit is supposed to make.......that's what the judge was supposed to determine.......guess it must have been based on all that black ink.......I did think it amusing they decided to leave in the parts they read about in the news.......in short, nothing there changes my mind......

1. The National Archives and FBI knew the documents were there and exactly where they were.
2. The National Archives and FBI had previously visited the property and that's why they knew the documents were there.

So, did Trump stop them from taking these documents on previous visits?

If the answer is yes, they might have something.

If the answer is no, then the FBI and DoJ just screwed the pooch.

Is hiding documents and lying about having them 'stopping' them?

Is having his legal team lie to the Feds about the existence of more hidden documents 'stopping' them?

Or might you be looking for a different verb?

It appears so, Chief. How many classified documents and pieces of Navy property did you take home when you retired? Do you still have them? Are they in a safe or a box in your basement?
