Texas man’s concealed handgun discharges in elementary school

If the police chief had taken swift action and if the school doors were locked the shooter would not have killed them.

The police chief knew he didn't have to do anything but let the kids die, hope the shooter was out of bullets before they made the huge effort to even try to take him out. Those poor kids, man. Had their folks only been a little richer, a little whiter, most of their kids would still be alive.

But you see, my friend. The chief knew he'd be fine. Shit they swore him in to the Uvalde council the next day. In secret, I'll bet Greg Abbott gave this guy a medal for saving his fellow cops lives.

Republicans call us baby killers. We know who the real baby-killers are now, don't we, slim?

Mmmm.. hmmm.. your trolling is the coping mechanism you're using now in an impotent attempt to mitigate your guilt.

None of us can help you now. The time to have helped would have been before last Tuesday. You might has well have loaded those guns yourself and handed the guns to that kid with your insanely weak gun laws.

The last shooting I tried to get the target hardened and you Dummycrats blocked that idea. This one is on your hands my friend. Remind me do you lock your door to keep criminals out?

Naw she is too busy sticking it into you Democrats asses. Yours a little sore?

OH, my god. I like you too much to even let YOUR dick near that demon.

Can we just call a truce on sexualizing Talican women, please? No more stories about what you want to do to Kellyanne Conway. There might be children here.

That's right man. Harden them targets. Pretty soon all buildings in Texas will look like Superman's Fortress of Solitude. That's the answer, you goober <shaking my head>

It's the gun laws. You handed Ramos those meatgrinders. The children of Uvalde "thank" you.

When gunners start with the comparison to other countries, they forget (or ignore) the uniqueness of the how the current USA came to be.

When other nations were dealing with social issues, they were dealing with predominantly class, religion and caste, NOT race on the whole. Also, ethnicity of neighboring nations was always couched in that you had an access to the country of origin.

America is a nation born of colonialism, imperialism and immigration. And 2 centuries after its inception, all the inter-personal points of contention have STILL not been resolved.

As Michael Moore pointed out, you've got generations of people afraid of each other...and guns make them feel safe.

Yes. I think that's a big part of why it's worth in the former confederacy.

So with 131,000 schools and let's say 80 windows per school and lets go with the low end of $3,000 per window, gosh, that would only cost $31 billion. If you wanted to put in glass that can survive military rounds then you could triple that cost. Of course that's just for the materials. Then it would require the architect and engineering costs plus installation. So you are probably talking about $150-200 billion. And you still haven't hardened any walls or doors yet.

But then you won't want to pay for that, will you?

Obviously you have no clue about construction costs nor economy of scale. Move along. Seriously.

Economy of scale? Are you going to move all the schools to a central location so the windows can be efficiently installed?

Bullet Proof glass isn't cheap. All those windows have to be manufactured. Installation of windows isn't cheap. It's not like you can just go in and remove the existing double or triple paned glass and replace the existing glass with bullet proof glass. You have to replace all the frames. And the frames are not a standard frame extrusion you can buy from the normal window supply companies.

I am curious how many commercial construction projects you have been involved in. Ever sat in contractor meetings on a construction site? Ever been involved in getting permits for construction? But you just keep pretending you know more about construction than people actually involved in construction if it makes you feel better.

So you think it would be hard to get city inspectors to approve bullet proof

ROFLMAO. When did I say that? However the windows do have to meet fire code and energy code.
You still haven't explained how you are going to do this with any economy of scale. Care to explain that since every school will be using a local contractor and the windows from school to school will not be the same. All the windows will have to be measured, new windows ordered, then wait for them to be manufactured and shipped before they can be installed.
