Tesla Model 3 named winner in KBB’s 5-Year Cost to Own Awards 2022. MAGA wets panties

So what EV car are you going to buy after the stop producing gas cars?

iu

I'll drive what I already own. A 1965 gas guzzler :)

So what EV car are you going to buy after the stop producing gas cars?

iu

None. I can continue to drive and rebuild my existing vehicles cheaper than the costs of owning and operating a battery car. That will also avoid government and corporate tracking of the vehicle among other bonuses. Since oil and gas production will continue, there will be gasoline or a viable alternative to run the vehicle on long after I'm dead. Lubricants for bearings in those EV's, plastics for wiring and electrical varnish in the motors, as well as many body parts will still require oil-based products to make them.

After all, gasoline for vehicles is only a fraction of what oil is used for...

The only way EV's can dominate the vehicle market is by government forcing them down our throats. It's that simple, and right now that is a provable fact.

We can get a glimpse of Mr. Wet Panties IQ based on the fact he/she/alphabet idolizes Heels Up Harris. Enough said.

If it's a provable fact, let's hear it. Less hear your provable facts. Do they involve Hugo Chavez and bamboo ballots? BWAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!
You're wrong on so many points. But go ahead and believe the far right wing talking points like you always do.
There's a reason EV sales are breaking records every month and it's not because governments are forcing people to buy them. Only morons like you swallow that bullshit. Get used to EVs becoming ubiquitous and keep dreaming that EVs won't dominate the market. I laugh at your types Everytime I see another monthly EV sales record broken. BWAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!

LAKE ORION, Michigan — The battery packs arrive at the General Motors plant in Lake Orion, a tiny village 30 miles north of Detroit, in large capsules. Amid the clanks and clunks of the assembly floor, workers pry the capsules open before robotic buggies shuttle them away, guided by magnetic tape that trails along the ground. Eventually, they arrive underneath what amounts to an overhead conveyor belt, a miles-long industrial track that carries scores of half-built Chevrolet Bolt EVs across the factory. Then, stretching upward like an accordion, machinery lifts the batteries up into the bottom of the vehicles’ frames, where, finally, a worker can bolt them together.
This is what the great electric vehicle transition looks like on the assembly line. A few years ago, things would have worked very differently at the Orion Assembly plant, which first opened back in 1983. The conveyor system would have carried different models, like the Chevy Sonic and Buick Verano — internal combustion vehicles that GM has since discontinued. There would have been a fluid fill station, where workers used to put a small amount of fuel into new cars’ tanks. Today, the gas pump is gone, and there’s an adjusted line for installing electric propulsion parts, rather than gas-powered engines.
GM was the first of the Big Three automakers to commit to going fully electric, and the company is now racing to meet surging demand for new EVs. Orion Assembly is the first internal combustion facility that GM repurposed to exclusively assemble green cars. The plant currently makes the Chevy Bolt EV, a hatchback that will start at $26,595 for the 2023 model, and the slightly larger, slightly more expensive Chevy Bolt EUV.

Ford F-150 Lightning named MotorTrend Truck of the Year, the second electric pickup in a row
5:30 AM EST December 13, 2022
The Ford F-150 Lightning was named MotorTrend's 2023 Truck of the Year on Tuesday, makingitthe second electric pickup in a row to win that award.
MotorTrend's panel of judges lauded the F-150 Lightning as "the best-riding, best-handling, and best-driving F-150 yet." Unlike other versions of the F-150, the Lightning has independent rear suspension instead of a solid axle connecting the back wheels. That tends to make for a smoother ride and better handling in curves.
The Lightning is also very powerful. Even in its base Pro version, one of two models MotorTrend tested, the electric motors can produce up to 426 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque, a measure of pulling power. That's similar horsepower to Ford's V8-powered trucks and much more torque.
The Lighining's lack of a big engine allows for innovative features like a large storage and work area under the hood. The truck also has 10 120-volt electrical outlets and one 240-volt outlet powered by its big battery packs. Besides powering tools at a work-site, people can even power their homes during a blackout — which is also possible with Ford's hybrid trucks.
The F-150's win, a year after the same MotorTrend award went to the Rivian R1T, highlights the growing recognition of battery-powered trucks as standouts in their category. It's also another sign that electric power is making its mark among America's most popular type of vehicle. Large pickups, and the Ford F-series in particular, are the best-selling vehicles in the United States

Motor Trash is the mouthpiece and an organ of the US automotive industry. Every vehicle they pick is a US brand. I wouldn't use their publication to wipe my ass. It's purely an advertising tool for the US auto industry. The Ford F series internal combustion engine pick ups may be the best selling, but the electric version is a niche vehicle.

That Motor Trash even considered the Rivian for this award is absurd. That truck is horribly unreliable and subject to multiple serious safety recalls due to it's poor quality. If that's the best Motor Trash can come up with, they're the fools I thought they were.

Your bullshit keeps flowing.

And please clarify your statement: "That will also avoid government and corporate tracking of the vehicle" because you got zero proof that government or corporate tracking of EV vehicles occurs. It's just another one of your lame bullshit scare tactics. And it fails miserably.
And if they could track EVs, why wouldn't they track ICE vehicles as well. It has nothing to do with the electric propulsion system.

Face it, TA Garbler. You can't win this argument. EVs are superior to ICE vehicles and all your bullshit right wing talking points can't change that.
But keep trying. I enjoy the laughs.

Tesla Model 3 named as one of the winners in KBB’s 5-Year Cost to Own Awards for 2022

The Tesla Model 3 was recently deemed by Kelley Blue Book as one of the winners in its 5-Year Cost to Own Awards for 2022. KBB’s 5-Year Cost to Own Award explores the costs associated with the ownership of a vehicle. This includes the vehicle’s price, maintenance costs, fuel or charging rates, any state tax, and registration fees, as well as a car’s depreciation over a 5-year ownership period, among others.

As per the automotive research company, the 2022 Tesla Model 3 leads the “Electric Luxury Vehicle” segment with a 5-year cost to own of $48,233. According to Kelley Blue Book, the Model 3’s 5-year cost to own is $16,411 less than the segment average. This is quite impressive, especially considering that the Model 3 is Tesla’s entry-level vehicle today.

The fact that the Model 3 was dubbed by KBB as one of the winners in its 2022 5-Year Cost to Own Awards is quite unsurprising, especially if one were to consider that electric vehicles like Teslas do not need as much maintenance as their internal combustion engine-powered counterparts. And being part of Tesla’s ecosystem, the Model 3 enjoys a number of perks that some of its rivals in the “Electric Luxury Vehicle” segment do not enjoy as well, such as Supercharging rates, which are extremely convenient and affordable

Company owned by a racist....he thanks u for your full support

I thought racist were to be boycotted?

All new cars have computers in them. The scary tracking is on board. EVs will Nobody i doing that. If the profit is in oil-burning smog-producing vehicles, they will provide them EVs. dominate because they are better vehicles that slash pollution and are cheaper to drive and maintain. The sexual connotation in that expression that rightys use is blatant. Shoving it down your throat?

Okay.

Government and corporate tracking of vehicles is possible and does happen.

https://www.teletracnavman.com/buil...Bing&msclkid=3942cf1cc7561f7fabd3ac841ef7f1d8

Any vehicle with GPS tracking installed, such as an Onstar or Ford Pro equipped vehicle can be, and to one extent or another is, tracked continuously. It has to be to allow things like the navigation system to work. So, if I own a pre-GPS computer equipped vehicle, it cannot be tracked using any onboard system simply because there is none.

Tesla can change the range of your vehicle at a whim.

Tesla Cuts Car's Range By 30%, Demands $4,500 to Get It Back

So, it is possible and there are actual cases to point to, where a vehicle manufacturer has tracked an individual vehicle and done things to its software and hardware remotely. If you think the government down the road, in the future, won't take that to tracking what you're doing you are a fool.

As for EV's, they'd be nothing but a niche vehicle with little future except for government intervening in the market and FORCING them on the public. People wouldn't by a car costing anywhere from 10 to 30% more than a comparable ICE vehicle because virtually the entire market doesn't give a flying fuck about Gorebal Warming. They further wouldn't buy one due to the lack of charging stations that only exist for the most part because, again, government is massively subsidizing their installation.

Here's the latest 'gotcha' from Tesla in an effort to keep OEM / aftermarket repair shops and such from fixing their batteries rather than customers being forced to go to a dealer and buy a completely new battery.

Their 4680 battery pack is now completely potted with a rigid foam making it nearly impossible to work on it in any way.

Tesla 4680 Structural Battery Pack Teardown: What Is Under The Foam?

This also makes this battery virtually impossible to recycle in any way.

Where's your proof that Musk is a racist. I'm not going to believe it just because you said it.

You typing it on a political forum doesn't make it true, volssuck.

Too bad about Hendon Hooker. No playoffs for Tennessee. BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!

Well, the consumer doesn't seem to mind. They're buying up EVs like crazy and just about all car manufacturers are making and advertising EV models.
Every month, EVs break another sales record. Your lame criticisms ring hollow on the masses. Enjoy paying big bucks for gas, boy. I charged up my EV for $14 the other day.

Red herring fallacy. Misdirection by trying to change the subject won't work. An appeal to popularity--mostly forced on the buying public by government rather than market choice in any case--does nothing to change that the car is horrifically expensive to repair and still one of the worst made vehicles in America. Tesla is the "Yugo" of the car market today.

For example, since California's government has mandated a forced end to use of ICE vehicles in that state--something that the market had no part in deciding--what you are claiming is utter bullshit. People are being forced--FORCED--into EV's by Progressive Leftist Democrats who are unscientific and even anti-science oriented. There is no reason for needing to force people into EV's other than political whims of the radical Left.

FUCK THE RADICAL LEFTIST STUPID RETARDS WHO DON'T KNON SHIT ABOUT SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING--LIKE YOU!
