Tens of Thousands of Jobs VANISHED Today... What now?

Those Palin, death panel folks really got to you, huh? Did you ever look at the statistics I posted concerning nationalized health care in other countries? It saves money, Dix. Over 30%. (I deliberately avoided the 1/3 reference.) People in those countries experience equal or greater life expectancy. The best part is the citizens in those countries like their respective medical plans. What more can one ask?

As for defence spending what does that have to do with Sharia law here? As for abortions the people have spoken, as well.

You're in shock, Dix, and it's understandable. Change is difficult and some folks have a greater problem with it but it's OK, Dixie. The world is not coming to a literal end. The old ways are changing, that's all and it's all for the good. You'll see. :)
Have you ever lived in a nation with a nationalized health service?

I have , for 33 years , here for 9 years.
I know which is better.

NB healthcare had nothing to do with life expectancy , thst us a lifestyle issue.
You know , diet, job, pastimes , hours worked etc.
all those CHOICES we make.
Notice how the people of the UK have no choice in such matters?
All decisions are made on their behalf by the nanny state.

The NHS is a joke, yes people love it , they are taught in school that it is the envy of the world .
It is the first element of the UK indoctrination system , taught to 4 and five year olds.

Still thousands of UK residents arrive on us soil each year to get treatment/ cures for illness the NHS has declared untreatable , incurable and terminal.
Ruby Owen would have died 3 years ago in the UK.
Her she was cured in the USA.
Tell me about outcomes again ?

Doomed, obamas promised revenge is coming , he will destroy those who gave done the right thing!

Look to the UK.
That's the USA in 2 years!

It's over.

The American dream is over.

Unfortunately, a dream is all it was for far too many people. Millions suffered and and died dreaming. Whether it was young men wanting an education and pumped up on testosterone joined the armed services to end up injured or dead to the middle aged couple denied medical coverage and refused proper treatment after working all their life to provide a decent home for their children. People who gave freely to their community and willingly defended their country told to their face they're on their own.

The dreamers have started to awaken to the reality which is a nightmare. They are starting to see through people like Romney and the rest of the Repubs. They would rather have a president who is trying but not always successful rather than one who wants to maintain the nightmare. The election was a bonus for them and all the other earthlings.

But shock over what? I don't think Ditzy cared that much about ObamaCare. He was defending Roberts on it just a week or so ago. Ditzy is not a free market guy. He cares more about the social issues.

I think what this is mostly about is that the nation did not reject the black man and blame him for everything as Ditzy had hoped we would. I think he was hoping there was going to be some sort of resurgence in the Rovian majorities and the referendums on marriage equality would have shown him that that is going nowhere.

I think Ditzy is about to leave the world of the apparently sane and go join the skinheads at stormfront. :)

I live in a nation with nationalized health care. I'm in Canada. Years ago, I had a car accident. Fractured spine, 6 broken ribs, arm, shoulder, jaw, sinuses.....I spent 6 weeks in hospital and 6 weeks in a rehab facility. Looking at me one would never know I had an accident. The total cost for treatment? Zero dollars. Not one cent. I didn't even see a bill!

As for outcomes check statistics. Every one will show that life expectancy is equal to or greater than in the US. Of course there are rare cases that are the exception. However, a Harvard study concluded 45,000 people die prematurely in the US due to a lack of medical coverage/insurance. How many rare cases are needed to compete with that number?

In Canada we get to pick our own doctor and I'll tell you right now I did a lot of doctor shopping. After seeing almost a dozen doctors/specialists to settle the insurance claim I went on a quest to find one who would do something about the constant nerve damage pain. I found one who treated elderly patients. He sent me to a pain specialist, I received the proper meds and the rest is history. Oh, and by the way, the meds cost about $350/mth of which I pay nothing. Zero. Not one penny.

I've been up close and personal with nationalized health care. When the nurses at the rehab facility, after consultation with the doctor in charge, refused to give me proper pain meds I called the special taxi for the handicapped. They picked me up the next day and drove me to the hospital to see the surgeon who did the spinal fusion and he gave me a note telling the rehab folks to give me more meds. No charge for the taxi or the doctor.

The rehab doc didn't take kindly to that but that's another story. I got my pain meds.

The point being all the ObamaCare lies about government control and death panels and not being able to choose doctors...it's just silly. Nationalized health care is like any other government program. The people can demand certain rules be included. There are dozens of countries with government plans. Maybe the UK indoctrinates the people but I don't believe the citizens in every country are indoctrinated. Those citizens lived, at one time, without government medical and the citizens in every country with government medical insist on keeping it. I don't believe they're all brainwashed.

What other alternative is there to nationalized health care? Do we just let the poor die? Do we drive a family to bankruptcy because one member becomes ill? Do we burden critically ill patients with the thought their spouse and children are going to be on the street?

Brainwashed is the correct term. Thanks for this post with valuable information about how it really works. We're on our way to joining the rest of the civilized world...if we can beat back the regressive authoritarians, which we will do. It's full on war now...no going back to 'real America'....forward is the way.

Do you watch Jon Stewart? If so, did you see the Nov 7th show? He showed clips from Fox and the people were saying how America has changed. It's a funny clip.

During the election build-up some posters here kept asking what changed implying nothing had changed. Now they're whining about all the change. Strange bunch these folks.

I had to come back here.... Wanted to check if I imagined this or if it was real. Love it!

Ignorance is never attractive is it?!

Dixie has never cried like a little bitch fully until today. Faux news had him and his dim whittled klan actually believing that stiff suite had a prayer.

45 companies announce layoff's in the past 48 hours! This is what the people wanted! The people have spoken! Earlier today, Twitchy
related some heartbreaking stories of small business owners laying off workers to avoid the economic impact of the Obamacare tax that isn’t a tax. Comedian Jon Lovitz, a small business owner himself, was no barrel of laughs either as his timeline filled with stories of impending downsizing. So, what about those big corporations? Boeing’s defense division announced yesterday it would cut 30 percent of management staff, and the company was not alone, we’re learning. IN PAST 48 HRS, FOLLOWING COs ANNOUNCED LAYOFFS: Westinghouse, Research in Motion, Boeing, US Cellular, Commerzbank, Iberia, ING, Ericsson, Bristol-Myers, corning, Boston Scientific, Abbott Labs, St. Jude, Caterpillar, CVPH Medical Center, Lightyear Haqwker Beechcraft, Hawker Bee Pepsi looking to layoff 4,000 workers , Energizer Holdings to lay off 1,500, close 3 plants ,

Lockheed Martin layoffs coming soon, Obama successfully kept them from announcing their layoffs until AFTER the election

Funny how all the sudden, all these places up and decide to lay people off. Do you think it is coincidence? Boeing's laying off workers in its defense sector doesn't have a thing to do with Obama screaming "defense cuts and tax the rich" the past 6 months? The layoffs don't have a thing to do with the chance of repealing Obamacare dead now? I guess you can think whatever you want, Yurt. I know what I believe, and I think you'll see even more of this in the months to come.

We're about to experience something that will make the Great Depression seem like good times. Better ammo up, is all I can say.

Another example of Dixie believing what he wants and damn the facts if they don't agree.

Ahead of my time yet again! Nearly every major news outlet is talking about this today. The #1 topic on Rush. But yet... this is all a figment of Dixie's imagination? Everybody on the left get a big ol' belly laugh over this, and keep chewing your mushrooms. Business owners, large and small, know that January 1st is Tax Armageddon. Income taxes are going up, Obamacare taxes will kick in, and the prospects for the future, in terms of sheer profit, are bleak. Many on the left, and many right-libertarian ideologues, are about to get a lesson in economics they didn't expect or anticipate. We're now officially over the cliff, and there is no saving it. We're going to see what happens when war is declared on capitalism, and I predict we're not going to like it much.

Now, we already know what the left will say when their ideas fail, they've been doing this for years. We'll get a massive tax increase on top wage earners, the rich will be made to "pay their fair share" and then we'll see the results don't generate the revenues needed, so the Liberals will then scream the tax increases weren't enough, probably due to republican obstruction. By 2016, it will be the conclusion of the pinhead geniuses, that mere tax increases weren't enough, we have to go after tangible property and seize it. I betchya!

We'll also be reintroduced to an old idea, the VAT tax. That $3 gallon of milk under Bush, which went to $5 a gallon during Obama's first term, will likely go to near $10 by the end of his second, will have to be taxed another couple of dollars because, let's face it, those who can afford to splurge on expensive milk, can afford to pay a little more! It's unpatriotic not to do this, you see?

But hey, we all have free health care now, that's a good thing, right? Well, while you are stoned on mushrooms living in a land of make-believe, it's great! It's when you actually get sick and need medical help, there will be this nagging little problem, you have free health care, but no one is providing it. Now, the Liberals will scream that it's because mean old Republicans wouldn't let them do Obamacare up right the first time, and we really need Obamacare II to fix the problem... never mind that not a single Republican supported Obamacare, and if there is anything about it that isn't good enough, it has to logically be because of Democrats, and not Republicans.
