Ted Stevens ‘Conviction’ To Be Voided

I understand, but they look silly because they are complaining about a conservative attacking a conservative. This was payback by Bush against Stevens for something, we willl likely never know what.

He probably didn't vote "yes" on the amnesty bill.
 
It doesn't really matter. Every time I think of Stevens I get a picture of that spokesperson who kept saying, "The Senator has reported every gift he is required to report." over and over again in that video. It's in a thread somewhere here...

It was embarrassing for him and for the Senator. There are enough benefits of being a Senator without having the sacks to just ignore the laws that you helped make and do what you think is your "right".

He lost his job, and it looked like he should have.

I agree, and his conviction should have been clean and should have survived... But that wont happen due to the incompetence and unethical actions of the Bush justice departmetn.
 
I think his crimes were just too obvious and they had to go after him, they may have screwed it up on purpose so he had a way out.

Yeah, ole Stevens is as pure as Snow White! Gawd love him! He was the porkiest Senator Alaska ever had, we will miss him and you guys, you reall Republicans should be dancing in the streets, this guy knows how to spend money and increase dollars for his state!

Well, the only good thing i see about Stevens' case being dropped is now, maybe, true justice will be served and the Siegelman case will also be reviewed and dropped!
 
Correct me if I'm wrong, wasn't it the bush Justice Department that brought the case and subsequently, not surprisingly, bungled it?

It should be a warning to all politicians. That is why we have the right to arms so we can shoot those traitorous bastards. All of them.
