A volunteer quorum of teachers/staff based on student population for its size, who would be subject to rigorous, regular training-would be bad why?

Well, for starters they need a psych evaluation so they don't brandish a gun to break up a fight, or vague threaten an unruly kid, or actually pull a gun on a kid feeling their oats and wants to fight a teacher? And who is going to pay for all this training and selection. I wonder how many ex-military folk who actually became teachers think of this harebrained scheme as a legitimate solution?

This is going to be a great issue for exposing the left for their gun grabbing ways. This will be like DACA for the left. Trump will crush them.

With DACA the said “amnesty or nothing” while Trump put out reasonable proposals after another.

Trump will play the democrats the same way on this. He will offer up many things just short of banning guns and the democrat party true to form will say NO. We only want banning of the 2nd Amendment.

Your Constitutional Right is to bear arms to form a militia....a guarantee to military arms for that purpose only....not a general allowance for military arms in the general population. Hence the AWB back in 1994.

Add to that the armed teacher would need physical self defense classes to keep an enraged student from overcoming them and taking their weapon..... essential in a work place where the majority of the teachers are female and thus smaller than males.

Gun free zones are joke. People who carry ignore the sign. Psychos with guns, just ignore the sign. There’s hardly anything goofier than thinking being in a gun free zone makes you safe from guns. If you’re inclined to worry about such things.

Of the many things that need to be on the table, voluntarily armed teachers is one of them. Or we can go back to scapegoating the NRA or advocate for more gun free zones.

See chuckles, no one is laughing at the FACT that assault rifles have been used in the increasing frequency of mass shootings. Take those out of the equation, and you lessen the problem. Arming civilians like the old Wild West is a nasty shootout with stray bullet victims waiting to happen. the country is rift with "gun free zones", genius...so according to you the death toll via criminal/crazy acts should be through the roof. Yet it isn't.

If you can't protect yourself with the plethora of weapons that are NOT on the AWB of 1994 list, then you're just a lousy shot....or a paranoid fool.

It's self defense if someone is attacking you and you feel your life is in danger. If someone (the govt) knocks on your door and says you need to hand over your gun, are you going to start shooting right then and there?

Thinking about that I forgot that damn near all school shootings have been done by white males but I doubt that fact will come into play if a black person is seen with a gun.
