Your opinion. How exhausting to always fear people are going to come crashing through your front door and you need to have all your guns ready to defend hearth and home but wait, kids in the house so they should be locked up with the bullets separate. I hope the bad guys have patience while you go get your gun and bullets from the gun safe etc.

49 years on earth and any troubles I have ever had with my personal safety I have managed to save my skin by means other than a gun. I must be lucky.

do you have fire extinguishers in your home or car because you are afraid of fire? home security alarms because you fear break ins?

I have no kids living with me any more, but my gun was never locked up, always on my belt.

you must be lucky indeed. where do you live that crime is that rare?

I didn't say I fear nothing, I said I try not to live my life always in fear. Difference.

Where do you live that you feel you might need to use your gun at any given moment?

You just stated that you wanted their constitutional rights of protection taken away.....by allowing liberal policies to make certain targeted areas of the insane criminals "No Gun" areas. You see what happens when the only ones that have weapons are the criminals that don't obey any laws. As I said, piss poor parenting turns your children into a shepherdless flock....unless you are expecting these left wing (by majority) teachers to sacrifice their lives for your children.....90% of which have never picked up a weapon might alone used one. That does not mean there are no righteous teachers that would not lay down their lives....USELESSLY as demonstrated, all they could possibly do is move their own bodies into a position to be a target.

And I have respect for these personal convictions...unlike the supposed first responder that refused to even enter the building where children were being slaughtered....these are the teachers (such as the coach) that need to be armed, and trained if necessary....those that actually give a rats ass about something other than indoctrinating children with left wing propaganda that has caused this disease to exist in the first place as no absolute moralities are now taught in our school systems....or at HOME, where the only morality taught comes from tv, video games, and Hollywood.

Are they to get special training in how to handle emergency situations? Are they to be given intense background scrutiny (psych evaluations)? I think the primary interest of the gun lobby is to sell more guns, make more profit, and create new markets for increasingly lethal weaponry. I do not think they really care in any substantive way about mass executions of school children.

If Republicans really thought more guns were the answer, I wonder when they are going to vote to allow staff, visitors, tourists, and the general public to open carry pistols, AR-15s, and assorted fire power in the United States Capitol building and in the White House.

That's nice....but since you already have had schools with armed guards become mass shooting targets, its just chance that no nut has targeted this particular school. I can snap my fingers and say it deters elephants...but unless one shows up to test that theory, it's just that...a theory.

You refer to the FACT that teachers across the country in various schools are underfunded in supplies and materials, and subsequently pay out of their own pockets for such. Yet, yahoos like you are okay that there is now magically money for arming and training them? GMAFB!
