Repeating things and ending with an absurd ad hominem will not change my opinion on this matter, nor will an article written by folks who enrich themselves through the poor choices children can make without regard to long term consequences. It is child abuse even if Mayo Clinic wants to make money from it.

It doesn't work, because it isn't true. Use of the word has changed since then, but there is a reason Franklin said "A republic, if you can keep it."

A democratic republic is different than a democracy. I for one am glad we have representation rather than a vote on every line of tax code, for instance. I don't want to have to vote on everything, it is why we vote for representatives even down to Mayors and city councils, etc.

While our form of government is democratic, it is not a capital "D" style "Democracy" which would have us gathering to vote on every law rather than have representatives voting in our behalf.

Now the word did expand to include Democratic Republics. So, saying we live in a democracy would be correct, but saying the form of our government is a Democracy would not. It is democratic, but it is not a Democracy, it is a Democratic Republic.

It is more about UTOPIA than it is about money. In WOKE being a good citizen, being a good person/corporation, is very dependent up your efforts towards UTOPIA..... and dont forget that in WOKE sacrificing for UTOPIA is high virtue.
