Superbowl Thread.... (I'll move it to the sports, etc. area after the game...)

– Biggest disappointment Sunday? Not a single commercial brought so much as a chuckle, though Good Will Dunkin’ was fun, and anything with William Shatner is aces.

I see as usual a lot of places ranking the commercials, but very few talking about their overall quality....which I take as evidence that I am right that they were not very good.

I liked the way Bunny brought issues key to Puerto Rico to the world. I picked up on quite a few, but one thing was obviously missing.

He should have had an orange grandfather throwing rolls of paper towels at a crowd of recently homeless people in the set.
LOL - trump already threw a temper tantrum over the show! Can you imagine the pearl clutching had BB said anything political at the Superbowl show?

Better to watch an aging rocker and Lara Trump try to sing.

When you can converse like a rational adult, let me know. If that has to wait until the next life, that works too.

Right now all you are is an aging white supremacist jumping around in jean shorts, lip synching like a jackass.

If you can't admit that Good and Pretti were murdered, then you're no better than Noem, sitting up there calling them "terrorists".

Sorry, dude, but you suck like the typical trumptard, so I'm going to treat you like one.

Bitch.

You are declaring me to be a white supremacist? Were you going to explain?

If you can't admit that Good and Pretti were murdered
Nobody can "admit" to anything that is not true.

calling them "terrorists".
They were domestic terrorists, by definition. They used terror to push a political agenda. Good tried to run down an ICE officer.

Talk about blaming the victim.

Sorry, dude, but you suck DNC dick like a typical leftist. We will all probably have to wait for the next life for you to be rational... and honest ... and somewhat educated.

Alright. You act like a white supremacist gaslighter, I'm going to treat you like one.

Have fun with your trolling, bitch.

You are going to declare that act like a white supremacist gaslighter? Were you going to explain? Shouldn't you first learn what "gaslighting" means?
I love it when you gaslighting trolls try to tell normal folk "they don't know what gaslighting is". It's gaslighting about gaslighting.

Congratulations! You achieved the troll two fer. Maybe Fat Donnie will let you borrow his stolen Nobel prize 😉

You know it's bad when many in Country music are bashing Rock's embarrassment of a performance. It's amazing how his voice can be heard when the mic is nowhere near his mouth.

You mean that some in country music are bashing Rock's performance of a rap metal song? Oh the HORROR!
It's amazing how his voice can be heard when the mic is nowhere near his mouth.
It's amazing how people are so quick to run their mouths without having any knowledge about the topic of which they speak.

One needs to first know how that particular song works. It's a song in which the lyrics are rapped in a back and forth manner between Kid Rock and his DJ, so there will naturally be moments when words are still being said but Kid Rock isn't the one who is saying them. If one isn't able to visibly see the DJ (as was the case on the TPUSA version), and if one doesn't know how that song is vocally structured, then it will appear to the common eye like Kid Rock is just doing a horrible job at lip syncing his song, but that's not what's actually going on there.

BTW, many in country music highly praised Kid Rock's subsequent performance of the country song "'Til You Can't".

It's amazing how people are so quick to run their mouths without having any knowledge about the topic of which they speak.
Whoa, are you telling me that you found someone who is running his mouth on a topic about which he knows naught? I hope you took a photograph because no one is going to believe you.

Note: Kudos on maintaining proper grammar. Well done. You must be a conservative.

Super Bowl LX Delivers 124.9 Million Viewers

NEW YORK February 10, 2026 – An estimated 124.9 million viewers watched Super Bowl LX on Sunday, February 8, according to Nielsen’s Big Data + Panel measurement. NBC’s presentation of Super Bowl LX ranks as the second most-watched Super Bowl in history, behind the 127.7 million viewers who watched Super Bowl LIX in 2025.

This is the first Super Bowl to be reported using Nielsen’s Big Data + Panel measurement methodology, which was officially rolled out in September 2025. Big Data + Panel provides the most-accurate TV measurement to date.

Super Bowl LX aired from 6:40 p.m. ET to 10:28 p.m. ET on NBC, Peacock, Telemundo, NBC Sports Digital and NFL+. It drew a combined average household rating of 39.4, and combined household share of 79.

The halftime show featuring Bad Bunny averaged 128.2 million viewers between 8:15-8:30 p.m. ET. Across the entire telecast, viewership peaked at 137.8 million viewers during the second quarter (7:45-8:00 p.m. ET).

Audience estimates are inclusive of Out-of-Home (OOH) and digital viewing (mobile, PC, MVPD app, vMVPD).

I am reminded that I saw a claim on X that historically half time does better than the game....which if true is very interesting.

Also interesting is the claim made on JPP that people tend to not care much about halftime, they tend to go do other things.

The SB is watched all throughout the world, not just in the US.
I'd like to see the breakdown of just half time compared to the total watching the game itself.

It's not a claim, it's a fact that many tune out at half time.
