It disappoints. I used to be a big supporter; I was a die-hard for my team. Now I watch soccer instead. I'll watch the Super Bowl, but I didn't know, until a few hours before game time, what teams were playing.
The Patriots didn't appear to be a Super Bowl team.
Ten years to replace the dollar is a reality. It sure would be nice to live long enough to see it.

Yeah, it's too bad they couldn't just have Metallica on or something. I'd be perfectly fine with that, as would most people.
They could also have some prominent country music singer do it. They haven't had a "country" halftime show since 1994... long overdue for another one. At least the TPUSA broadcast provided some of that this year, so it was nice to have that "alternative" option. Otherwise, I would've just turned off the halftime show same as I typically do.

Congrats on your team winning. Fortunately for the Seahawks, the Patriots didn't show up to play. For those who wisely missed the game, the Patriots effectively rolled over and played dead, and effectively surrendered with five minutes still left to play.
While the Seahawks themselves did not play up to their legendary status of previous years, they nonetheless demonstrated sufficiently good play to be able to claim that they deserved the win. The Patriots did not make that too terribly difficult, but kudos all the same to Seattle.

Solid choice! I wonder how many people just leave the channel on for the halftime show but don't actually pay much (if any) attention to it (as they're doing other stuff during that time).
I watched the TPUSA show. It wasn't anything special... Mostly "B-list" (if that) country people. It had a couple of nice moments though... It's closer to my entertainment taste than whatever a "Bad Bunny" is.

The issue is that the NFL is abandoning the "American Citizen" market ... because they have aligned with the DNC and the EU, and currently HATE America and its citizens. The NFL currently has a twofold business position:
1. Expand to become the prominent international sports authority, usurping FIFA and the Olympics
2. Facilitate the replacement of US citizens in America with unvetted foreigners
1. Any opportunity that the NFL has to denigrate the US and its flag, and to offend/insult its citizens, it will do so.
2. More and more league games will be played, and aired, from foreign venues, with the aim of exploiting the markets, while working to establish leagues, in those countries.
3. Halftime shows and other messaging will be a direct assault on current American values:
* - replacing decent, nationally unifying family-oriented messages with sexualized deviancy and racial division
* - replace messaging based on American culture and values with messages of incompatible foreign cultures
Unless something radical changes, there cannot be any "country" NFL halftime shows; that would be antithetical to the NFL's business position. Metallica would have a chance only if they were to wear rainbow clothing, had almost-completely-nude dancers, and promised to sing certain verses in Swahili.
I disagree. I think the Pats are a very skilled team. Seahawks defense just was better yesterday. And also, I don't feel bad for Maye - that guy's only 23! He'll be back and he'll be amazing!
Yeah, again, I disagree. You know who Stefon Diggs is? That fact the Hawks secondary was able to shut HIM down was a major accomplishment.
Well, I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the game. Millions of others did. I even lost a bet because the game didn't achieve the "over" of 47. I don't care - I had a blast watching it and partying with friends and family!

I'll give you a different perspective on this.
In my house, we speak Spanish, and we listen to a lot of Bad Bunny, ... not because we're fans, but because Bad Bunny gets a lot of air time on many stations due to his popularity in the Spanish-speaking world. Hence we also listen to a lot of regetón, bachata, cumbia, salsa, merengue, and others that are Spanish language, just música de fondo (background music).
When the Bad Bunny halftime show came on, I noticed three things:
1. It was entirely mediocre. If you were to go to a Bad Bunny performance, it wouldn't be nearly that bad.
2. It was entirely unrelated to football and to America. Bad Bunny singing in Spanish is fine in the right venue, but the NFL halftime show is not one of them, just as it would be inappropriate for Bad Bunny to be performing at the IEEE conference for the adoption of the new USB standard. However, one could just as easily draw the analogy of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition as a counterargument.
3. It was a Bad Bunny promotion with which the NFL seeks to align itself while marketing to Latin America.

A fair (and accurate) assessment.
THE GAME: I personally find the NFL (in general) to be "rigged" to some extent. I don't think that it's "rigged" in a "grand conspiracy" kind of way, but I do think that the NFL has "preferred outcomes" with regard to their ability to hype up particular quarterbacks and "storylines", so I think that the "rigging" is more-so in the way of NFL officials (via the NFL's purposefully subjective rules that are inconsistently implemented) making "bad calls" at pivotal moments of certain games in order to advantage a particular team over another one. They could very easily fix any "problems" of "bad officiating" if they wanted to, but the reality is that they DON'T want to because those "problems" are quite good for causing a stir amongst the general populace. This dynamic is quite similar to politics in a way.
THE COMMERCIALS: They've been stupid for MANY years now. Once upon a time, they used to be decent, but now they're just plain stupid. There's not much more to say about them than that.
THE HALFTIME SHOW: Almost all of the halftime shows that I have "watched" over the years have either been mediocre or downright awful. Most of the time I'm doing or paying attention to other things during halftime, so the TV is either on another channel entirely or I'm only hearing the halftime show as "background noise". This year, I didn't even want to find out what a "Bad Bunny" was, even as "background noise", so I turned on the TPUSA "alternate halftime show" instead. It (overall) wasn't anything special either, but it beat whatever the actual halftime show was.
Personally, I wouldn't watch any of the SuperBowl if it weren't for bonding with family members over making fun of it all.
