Suck it, libs: Ryan 48%, Biden 44%

I'm a lot like you in that sense. It took me years to come back to baseball after the strike but I am nowhere close as passionate or into the game as I was before it.

My wife babysit's for one of the Giants starting pitchers and we actually become good friends with them. That's given me a personal interest to root for him when he pitches but other than that my passion for baseball is not there.

My wife...it is so cute to see you say that after all these years!

Yeah, losing three in a row at home hurts. I went to Game 2 in SF and you guys looked dominant. As an A's fan living in San Francisco I'm already in a small minority and now I'm going to have hear from all these Giants fans, many of who didn't even root for the team prior to the 2010 World Series. FML.
Yea, tell me about it. I was convinced Sunday night we had it locked up after we crushed them for the second time in a row but our inability to move batters with two on came back to haunt us. 14 stranded base runners yesterday. They should have scored around 10 runs. It was demoralizing. They need to get about two more sluggers in the Reds line up. The Reds mediocre slugging percentage this season came as a surprise to me this year as that had always been one of our strong points but we lacked pitching. This year we had the best pitching staff I've ever seen in 40 + years of watching the Reds but could not consistantly drive runs in.

When the hell did you get married and how the hell did you find a blind woman with an IQ of 30??!! ;)

I have to admit. My love affair with baseball was severly affected by the 94 strike and the roids era. I still love the game and think it's the best team sport in the world.

Something we 100% agree on. I focus on the minor leagues as we have a great minor league team near by. But, I have soured on the pros. I do love going to a baseball game live than a football game which I would much rather watch on TV.

Now it looks like my beloved Steelers are playing for draft position. The injury bug has bit hard and I really thought they would be a Super Bowl contender having naively thought they solved the O line problem. But, alas I was mistaken.

Oh God! What has happened to me!!!!
It gets worse man. Prepare to be manipulated like a piece of salt water taffy.....and there's nothing you can do about it. Just remember these three survival sentences. If you repeat them every day and sincerly mean them you'll be all right.

#1. I love you honey.
#2. Yes dear.
#3. Did I tell you today that you are beautiful?

You knew I was getting married in August! In the spam of one week I turned 40 and got married. Talk about life kicking you right in the n*ts!

Her lack of site is what I like best about her! :)

I think what I really like most about baseball as a sport is how it brings families together. Particularly fathers and sons. I also enjoy that it's so easy to follow as a sport. Everyone knows what the strategy is going to be, at any given moment, in a baseball game. It's a matter of can you execute that strategy, which is real, real hard to do. Not so in other team sports which are to fast paced for the average fan to really understand what the strategy or team tactics for any given play is. In baseball you know what they'll try to do, it's a matter of pulling it off. That keeps the fans more involved in the game mentally.

Wow, shades of me. I was 40 when I was introduced to my now misses and I agree. Poor vision is my wifes most valuable attribute (Lord knows she can't cook!).

USC/Ohio... enough said.
