Substitutes for fossil fuels.

the energy cos don't like it because then you can sell people energy every day, every month, every year.

you see a motivation of profit only doesn't have you making long term humaine policy for profit.

its JUST profit now only

Is solar more than 1 pecent

Unfortunately, the first law of thermodynamics states quite clearly that the energy generated by recombining the hydrogen and oxygen through combustion can only ever be equal to the amount of energy it took to separate them. Where do you think the energy to electrolyse the water come from? Anybody who falls for that crap is an idiot.

I never said I agreed with the premise; but was instead just fulfilling a request

No evince. They don't like it because they cant control the energy source which is the sun. Eventually people will have relatively cheap energy they cant profit from.

Because it is heavily subsidised, it needs a new generation of PV cells to become economic, perhaps graphene will do it but not yet.

I'm not sure if the same thing is happening in the UK; but in the US, a lot of people have gone solar because there's no initial cost.
After the instillation; they pay the company a monthly fee, that is usually less then what they were paying the utility company.
Plus; if there setup is big enough, they can sell their excess power to the utility company.

With adequate storage batteries; the only time they might need to actually draw power from the utility company, would be if their were extended times of not getting enough sun light to maintain the power level in the batteries.

There are other things involved; but that can be another discussion.

the point is that an engine CAN run on water.

Stanley Meyer's water fuel cell may have worked but he died mysteriously. While trying to make a deal!
Intracranial aneurysm my arse!!! They probably payed the coroner to say that crap!

It has been proven today that motors CAN run on water and hydrogen.

Also nuclear physicist Ruggero Santilli(who is smarter than you) complained of scientists(who served or were elitists) of suppressing any science that was counter productive to their interests.

Scientific paradigms and conspiracies
In his book Il Grande Grido: Ethical Probe on Einstein's Followers in the U.S.A, an Insiders View (Santilli 1984), Santilli claims that in many institutions there is an effective conspiracy to suppress or not investigate novel theories which may conflict with established scientific theories, such as Einstein's theory of relativity. Institutions receive funding and have established entire departments dedicated to long established theories, and so he argues that these same institutions are ill equipped to challenge their own scientific paradigms with new theories. Santilli claimed that a number of scientists, including Nobel Laureates Sheldon Glashow and Steven Weinberg conspired, while he was at Harvard, to stop him from conducting research which might have led to the inapplicability of part of Einstein's theory of relativity.[28][29] He has complained that papers he has submitted to peer-reviewed American Physical Society journals were rejected because they were controlled by a group of Jewish physicists led by Steven Weinberg

Now lets get back to the subject of fossil fuels!

Freedom. They have nano-technology paint that can absorb and store solar energy believe it or not. This is only the beginning of solar technology.

These guys have believed all the hype(lies) financed by oil companies.

Wake me up when you purchase your first solar car!

They were doing that over here initially when the feed in tariffs were very high but recently they have been cut back as so many were taking up the offers. You have to buy the installed panels now and get money back from selling any excess to the electricity companies.

You are a stubborn beggar, the car doesn't run on water it runs on hydrogen that has been hydrolysed from water. That requires a considerable amount of energy which comes from electricity which has to generated. It is not my fault that you have no understanding of basic thermodynamics.

Did you not see him pour water in the tank of that water torch? The inventor claimed basically that his invention splits the Hydrogen and Oxygen, and then they merge into another form that is combustible. And that it can be retrofitted for any engine.

Whether a secondary energy source is needed is irrelevant. The engine can still run on water(via hydrogen and oxygen)

then why is solar growing?

YAY SOLAR!! YAY FOR WISEASSONE's WATER POWERED CARS!!! YAY FOR ALTERNATIVE ENERGY IN GENERAL!!! Just leave the American taxpayer out of it. Oil is cheap and plentiful and never had the advantage of government support in it's formative stages. Let alternative energy compete with fossil in the open market.

You are truly nuts, don't they teach science in Canadian schools?

Only if America doesn't pollute the air we ALL have to breath. I know! Lets put a dome around America and they can poison themselves!!!

Actually if they did? Everyone would own solar panels! United States and Europe have threatened imposing possible anti-dumping tariffs on Chinese-made solar panels, to slow down sales.
