I there was a story, quite a while back, that some ducks mistook some solar panels and crash landed into them.
The assumption was that they must have thought it was a pond of water, with the sun reflecting off of it.
Can you imagine huge rows of solar panels and the possibility that birds would think it was a lake.

Maybe you can explain why everyone here is switching to solar? If it is cost prohibitive? Sorry my eyes are the facts. Some people are actually MAKING money by consuming less energy then they make and selling the excessive energy production back to the grid!

2nd? The article states that IN AUSTRALIA? UNSUBSIDIZED wind energy is cheaper then subsidized fossil fuel energy. Now tell me? Are the Australians smarter then Americans?

In a true free market, Alternative energy technology would be cheap and most people would own electric cars, have a solar panel and windmill on their property and be most if not fully, energy indepependant! But then the capitalists would be booted off their gravy train and they don't want that!! Greed prevents progress unless they can somehow find a way to profit from progress!

If everyone could afford eco friendly technology, most would use it. I hear in china they already have lots of electric bikes.

This second article is actually quite amusing.lol Ok here are some questions for you. What is supplying most of the energy in Germany today? Nuclear. Now the article suggests they want to close down nuclear power plants and open coal power plants because they are afraid of a Japan type Tsunami?? ROTFLOL!!!!

What a joke! Then the article states that wind energy will only supply a quarter of the power needed and in the same article states the problem is it supplies TOO MUCH energy?lol

Did you read the comments? Smart people are mocking the move and calling it a step backward for Germany.lol Then again, you must understand that Germans are heavily invested in fossil fuel energy. Therefore it is in their interest to move backwards.
