Winterborn,
This isnt a job performance issue. Or an overweight issue. For members of the military that have to perform at a certain physical level, smoking does not inhibit them. Wake up and run 4 miles every morning and still be a smoker, then you can talk about someone else's physical performance or lack thereof because you light up. It doesnt cause a problem.
This is a lot to do about nothing. The majority of members of the military enlist for 4 years and get out. The second block are enlisted for 8 years and get out. If you were 18 when you enlisted and got out at 22 or 26... and youre going to the VA at 60 for smoking related illness's... thats what 34 to 38 years of smoking while you werent even in the military. Clearly knocking off 4 years out of 26 isnt going to matter, one reason this is a tard fantasy.
Currently there is a ban on discussing the sexual positions you had with this smokin hot drunk lot lizard from the bar last night. Anyone care to guess how many officers or senior enlisted personnel ever enforce that one.... or encourage it, lol?
This is a stupid idea, with no hope of it ever being enacted or enforced.
