Democracy is a wonderful invention lol.
But when the government acts contrary to the will of the people there's a problem. Nobody wants the monuments removed but the mayor and a slim minority of local tax payers. The problem with appeasing these clowns is they will never be happy.
They started with the flag and now they want the monuments to go.
A quick look at the City Council of NO says a lot.
In SC, the flag was taken down from the Statehouse dome due to a compromise between those that wanted it to stay and those that believed out of site, out of mind. The compromise was to take it down but put it on a memorial on Statehouse grounds. As soon as the compromise took place, the out of site, out of mind compromisers started their whining, AGAIN.
