Zeniff Vanderran said the Cambria Ocotillo Homeowners Association crossed the line when they told him to remove a gay pride flag hanging from his home outside his garage. The explanation he received is only adding to the debate.

Vanderran received a letter from the HOAs attorney. In it, it said the rainbow colored gay pride flag he's hung over the past several years is now in violation of HOA rules. The homeowner claims he's being discriminated against.

Jonathan Olcott, attorney for the HOA, said the only flags that can now be posted are those honoring nationally recognized holidays.

I love how people move into communities that have certain rules, then bitch about the rules.

The point is he knew the rules before he ever moved into the neighborhood.

He doesn't get to move in and then piss and moan about rules he knew were in place long before he was a resident.

If he doesn't like the rules then he should attempt to become a member of the board or petition the board to change the rules.

It's not hard to understand, even for a teabagger get trying to make a statement.

You bought the house, you made an agreement with the HOA. Period. Follow their rules or GTFO.

I'll bet he'd be the first one bitching if they don't mow his grass or someone hangs laundry out to dry or someone else plays music too loud.
