Southern states could get hit by spike in Covid-19 cases

You are overlooking the obvious, although I guess he could be including "black honkeys," "black crackas," and "black goobers in his wish they all attend church (to catch the virus).

You are also ignoring all his past posts about hurricanes and floods wiping out Trump supporters although it was always in areas with more minorities than whites.

Ghoulo is a black racist pure and simple, only a fool would think otherwise.

Has absolutely nothing to do with it. At this point he’s either trolling or since he’s openly rooting for a recession it’s not beyond the realm he could agree with guno and want a few crackas to die if it could change the election. (I’m not saying that’s a fact but just not out of the realm)

He's called both my missus and Vietnamese daughter in law Gooks many times!

Hello Flash,

Not literally, but when you call for Southern whites to rush to their churches the meaning if very clear. See the picture of those people posted by Dutch Uncle that was originally posted by guno to see who he is talking about.

That may be, but of course that goes beyond the OP.

A legitimate issue unrelated to the other issues. And, given that Montgomery is 60.6% black, it supports my post that what he is calling for will mainly affect minorities.

Isn't that always the case with these natural mass death tragedies?

Our society doesn't make it as easy for disadvantaged blacks to excel and gain the security required to be in the optimal position to deal with these things. Thus they pay a heavier, more tragic price.

The indifference of the Republican party is palpable.

"Crackas" and "honkeys" are racial epithets like "spic", "wop", "mick" and "nigger". Allowing one group to say it but not another is racist by itself, not just the words used.

Now tell me Guno's post isn't racist and that you are okay with it:

The "Trumpanzee" label isn't racist per se, but the way it is used indicates Guno thinks "White people" are inferior to "Black people". That's part of the classic definition of racism: racial superiority.

You sure you wanna make that argument about WHITE people with that picture as an example? Just saying...

I guess this could be considered 'art' but it is a trailer park in MISSISSIPPI

That was Guno's picture not mine. I hope you understand that point.

Secondly, as usual, you are wrong. That's "stacked trailer park" is not in Mississippi. It's not even in the USA. It's for a Dutch play.

However, the true origin of the image is far different from the fictional description attached to it. In fact, the structure is an elaborate outdoor set for the Theater het Amsterdam Bos, a Dutch theater group. The set was created by Catherina Scholten for a 2005 production of Anton Chekhov’s Ivanov.

The alternative, wider-angled, view of the theater shown below includes the attending audience in the shot and immediately reveals the true purpose of the supposed “redneck mansion”.

Given that we are still mostly flying blind because our medical experts dont know very much and given that our medical system is expensive crap and given how risk adverse America has become it will in the opinion of many never be time to try to avoid the worst of the depression by getting back to work as best we can.

That's what happens when budget cuts force closing down a major service. If it had been the weather department that was largely shut down and then a hurricane surprised everyone, would it be fair to say "we are still mostly flying blind because our weather experts dont know very much"? Is the problem really with the weather experts? Or is the problem with the way our government is running the nation? I think it's the latter. Not just the last three years either, but ever since 9/11.

Opening the economy too early will result in more Corona cases and deaths. It is not arguable. Will it provide a huge spike? It may. This is too early.

Agreed on opening too soon. The main problem, of course, isn't the pandemic, but the economic collapse of the nation. Just how many TRILLIONS of dollars can our nation print to pay for this? How far into debt should the US go to save 3% of the population?

The problem didn't begin with Trump; the trend of gutting Federal defense and civil programs has been around this entire century. Now our collective lack of imagination has put us in this present position.

Hello Flash,

I don't know. It makes no sense. If we are to live up to the Constitution we should be promoting the general welfare.

How about the general welfare of the millions of Americans when you cheered the economic loss due to the virus from China that China that China failed to contain.

In guno's case he thinks it is reducing Republican voters.

The general welfare clause is not a specific grant of power; otherwise, we would not need the other powers granted to Congress.

I recognize that there will be differences of opinion and actually see a benefit from that. Parties will form out of people with like views. This is how the US political system is designed to work. It is unrealistic for any particular view to expect that the opposing view can be eliminated. They must attempt to gather support by publicizing what they see as the benefits of their view, and the problems of the opposing view. Let the people decide.

By publicly examining policy, voters are thus exposed to all the options.

If we don't let the other side talk or exist, then we deprive ourselves of their oversight when we may be blinded to mistakes in our own thinking. In this way, the parties check up on one another and ensure that neither party gets 'too full of itself.'

It's the beauty of diversity in political views, harnessed for advancement.

Because nobody is perfect, and no political party is perfect.

Did you see a benefit to the people who invest in the stock market when you posted this:

Sure, I agree 100%. But when one person calls for harm to others we should call him out on that. He is the one seeking to destroy diversity. It doesn't mean prohibit his speech or views, but to just call them what they are--racist trash.

For example, when his signature says "the future of America is bright, not white" he is promoting hate.

You think more black Americans falling ill will take care of that problem? That is the essence of the OP. Anybody with any concern for the human race would think this sentiment is detestable.

I merely posted that link to show that rural hospitals are already overwhelmed in the South, like right next door in Alabama.

This is going to get much worse...this weekend was a big error in judgment for a lot of people. The MO Health Commissioner just said that everyone at that Lake of the Ozarks party (which I'm sure you've seen the video and photos) must isolate for 14 days now.

And then there's the case of the two hair stylists who spread COVID to over 150 people at a salon...plus all the people they exposed when they weren't at work. One of them went to the gym three times despite having visible symptoms:

A second hairstylist who worked while symptomatic potentially exposed 56 clients to Covid-19, officials say

I wouldn't be surprised if we see a lot of cases from those outings. Fortunately, there are still more people walking around in masks than going to the beach.

Yes, thankfully. The masks are definitely prevalent in Atlanta, less so outside the city. I think most people are also staying at home anyway. But this past weekend was not good...I read 80,000 people went to Tybee Island (near Savannah) from all over the South. I read that GA was getting something like 60,000 people from out of state since we reopened. What a mess.
