So he's going to tax himself?
He'll find plenty of others to tax and take credit for it as if it was his own money. That's how socialists operate.

what do you know about the Cumberland road?
you dont like this country or the founders huh
Under capitalism, yeah, anyone can be rich. Under socialism, no one is supposed to be rich. Bernie is another huge democrat hypocrite.
well fettered capitalism
its not for the stupid
that is why your republican party is stabbing its self to death
Where does unfettered capitalism exist?
Name five businesses that aren't regulated in this country
Dayum.
I thought Bravo was the dumbest member.

You should end your misery and commit suicide already

OK IHA whatever you say.
A lot of people who have worked for 45-50+ years are going to have over a million in assets. This is actually not much of a shock and certainly not an indication that he is having his pockets lined by outside interests/lobbyists/pacs
Someone with that much money that believes what Bernie claims he supports shouldn't have that much. He should be more than willing to do with it voluntarily what he demands others with that much be forced to do. We both know, although you'll never admit it, that it's not how bleeding hearts work. They think compassion comes from supporting something then proving it means finding someone else to fund it.
It's contradictory when someone like Bernie, a person that believes in all sorts of "free" shit is a right, has that much. If he truly believed what he said about people being able to go to college when their parents can't afford it, he'd find them, pay their tuition, and prove he cares. When he has that much, what it shows me he cares about is seeing how many OTHER people with millions he can force it from.
Why wouldn't those who think another person owes them anything they want not vote for someone supporting that? It's not an issue of whether he has stuck to it or not but what he's stuck to. Are you surprised that someone thinking that taxpayers should do for them with college tuition what their own damn parents won't do for them would support Bernie? I'd bet the parents that won't do for their own kids what they think taxpayers should do support him, too.
When someone becomes a politicians, they become the problem. Take it from someone that has been elected on a local level that wasn't a politician but what he expects those elected to be when it comes to doing what's best for the constituents instead of himself.
I would agree that the States should be in charge of more and that the Feds have grabbed more and more power over the past couple decades. I also agree that the Senatorial salaries are too high.
That said... my point stands. We still need federal level politicians to handle what they ARE supposed to be handling.
It is when the "fighting" involves demanding someone else be forced to do what he apparently has the money to do.
