What you will see stupid people try to do, who have nothing positive to say about a person or his record, is try to frame his wins by what did not happen.
So,
- the banking sector never collapsed on my watch, give me credit
- war between XYZ and ABC country never broke out, ... give me credit
- covid or no pandemic broke out... give me credit
It is a vaspid and stupid way to try and address something or give credit that is done when the person has no positive accomplishments to point at.
I was once in a store that got robbed and was on the news the next day. guess i missed the opportunity to take credit for it not getting robbed the day before.
