So now we need a Ballroom?

Which changes nothing at all of what I have stated in this thread.

Things we paid for:

Obama's basketball courts (built over tennis courts that were used by Bush and other Presidents (you know, historic and stuff).
Truman's reconstruction. (literally the entire building was gutted, only the exterior walls remained, the ENTIRE building).
The Rose Garden.
The Press Briefing Room (installed over a pool we paid for).
Nixon's Bowling Alley.

Thing we did not pay for:
The outdoor pool fuinanced by Gerald Ford personally.
The tennis pavilion, completed during Trump's first term was also financed by private donations.
This Big Beautiful Ballroom.

But TRUMP shift +1!

Now I know you're lying. Nothing hurts you because you're amoral.

I'm hurt.

You know my tender regard for you.

Remember when the MAGAt excuse for busting up Congress was because it was "the people's house"? Why is the White House now Trump's house to do with as he pleases?

Renovations are done by the people that live in it. I object more when I have to pay for them. Nixon would have pissed me off. If you want a bowling alley, pay for it. Frivolous rubbish like that needs to come from your own pocket. Kennedy had the money but we still paid for his pools and other renovations.

To be fair, he didn't take it with him, and it's still used today.
