All of the glaciers I have seen over a span of 10 years are shrinking.

I only point out that this glaciation reduction is not a sign of that, it is due to lower precipitation caused by wind-shift that happens naturally from planetary wobble.

It would be like somebody saying that the fact that our broken arm heals is a sign of God. The arm does heal, the glaciers may be getting smaller, but it isn't due to God or to the AGW hypothesis.

It was certainly warming during the later half of the century, but it has not continued warming over the past decade. Add in the fact that there is a difference between 'the globe is warming' and 'man is causing global warming'.

Bravo - you're one of the funniest morons on here re: this topic.

There are 2 schools of thought: one is just that we're undergoing a significant climate shift, regardless of the cause. On this, there is quite a bit of real agreement, even among conservatives.

Then, there are those who believe AGW - the Gore crowd - whose beliefs have definitely taken a hit.

But you seem to think they are one & the same. It's pretty hilarious...

since the climate is ALWAYS changing, I thought you were implying that something unnatural (ie... caused by man) was occurring.

Jarod may try to deny it right now, but he has defended Al Gores claims in the past...many times...
His talk of major changes in the past 10 years implys he is still buying the AGW lline.....

and Onceler..of course there is global climate change....its been going on for millions of years...no one ever tried to deny that so keep the gotcha crap to yourself until you actually have something...

The fact is, when you refer to something that happened over 10 years in a certain area, and claim its proof of global climate change you're stretching it a bit....climate change manifests itself over a hundred years or longer...a melting glacier is closer to a change in local weather....

Jarod is a 'warmer' ...and considering past posts over the years...you are too....
 
The El Nina the north American continent is experiencing is a local weather phenoma. It's amazing how many gullible anti-humans out there wanting to destroy the planet because they serve the elite in the oil industry.

When did they take a hit? There is still the overwhelming evidence there there always was. You can choose to ignore the evidence and live in a fantasy land where we aren't causing the globe to warm, but it doesn't change reality.

1. Global warming has warmed average temperatures by about 1 degree above what they would be otherwise. So, if temperatures are 32 F now, they would have been 31 F without global warming. Saying there's global warming is different than saying "It's always going to be hot no matter what".

2. There was never any talk about global cooling amongst the scientific community. There was a single article in a magazine. This is pure lying, and you deserve to go to prison for slander.

so global warming is bad?

we had a mini ice age a few hundred years ago, we've purportedly had at least 5 major ice ages.....

tell me....what happens in between these ice ages? does global warming occur?
