This widely circulated e-mail contains a number of false claims about the urban legend-busting Snopes.com and its proprietors, Barbara and David Mikkelson, who started the site in 1995 and still run it. They’re accused of hiding their identities, doing shoddy research, producing articles with a liberal bent and discrediting an anti-Obama State Farm agent out of partisanship.

First... Politifact is not "factcheck" and secondly no, I didn't love them other than laughing at a leftist site handing a bit of responsibility to the O-man. Politifact isn't quite the uber-leftist protectionist and apologist site that factcheck is. That one is owned by Obama's pals. It's like a site that is supposedly non-partisan that suggests which forum is best, but later you find out that my friends created the site to promote this website.

I remember Obama telling Factcheck to drop dead when they criticized him over stuff he said about Romney during the campaign.

Annenberg foundation owned and operated the foundation that Obama worked for as a "community organizer" (the Annenberg Challenge), they also own and operate factcheck.org. Which should tell you about both their lean and their previous association with then Mr. Obama.

Oh yeah I read about this on numerous RW sites... Hot Air, Freerepublic, etc. so it must be true. Let's not forget the Bill Ayers link in that chain while we're at it.

Actually it is true. Even the leftist apologist sites say it is, they just say that it isn't his "friends". They try to make believe that the Annenberg Foundation runs both but that they are somehow not associated to Obama at the same time. One that I read even said "so what"... It's actually funny to read their excuses.
