SNAP benefits cut!!! Musk gets a trillion dollars!

Yep.

It has always baffled me why Republikkkans think that the wealthiest people on the planet deserve MORE money, but people who are low- or no-income deserve to go without health care, decent housing, decent food, decent education. It seems to me that if we provide these things eventually those people might be able to climb out of poverty and contribute to society.* What's that saying about a rising tide lifts all boats?

* With the exception of those who are disabled, elderly, unable to learn due to cognitive issues, etc.
musks pay is between him and his board.

why won't Dems open the government?

TOP:

“Too bad they hate the president worse than they love America...”

Indeed, one hundred percent.

Shutdown Schumer does not dictate terms.

The American people, who rejected these far left loons who have shut down the government to continue paying for free healthcare illegals for illegals, dictate the terms.
What's hilarious is you think trump gives a rat's ass about America - or YOU! You trumptards are such sorry cucks.

Yes, it is. Wholly and totally. The Democrats are demanding massive new spending on any CR they agree to and won't reopen government until they get it.
No. All they're asking for is the extension of the ACA subsidies. Republicans could do it, but they'd rather be cute and claim they're going to "negotiate it later". What could go wrong there?

No - Republicans would rather have a billionaire buy a second Ferrari rather than feed some of our most vulnerable.

Dems are in a great position now, politically - the last election is a bellwether.

Yes, ones that were supposed to be temporary because of the pandemic. Why should those be renewed?
So that people's premiums don't skyrocket. So your neighbor doesn't have to decide between his diabetes medication and his AC bill. I know these concepts of "helping your fellow man" is just a punch line to right-wing Christians - so Dems need to advocate for the vulnerable, while Republicans try to turn the US into their oligarchic hellscape.

Trump isn't responsible for this shutdown. This occurred in Congress, specifically in the Senate. Schumer initially wanted $1.5 trillion in new spending to sign on to a CR. Now he wants about half that to sign onto a CR. The Democrats are totally at fault here for making what amounts to hostage negotiation demands.
Bullshit. trump could tell the Republicans to amend the spending bill to include the ACA subsidies tomorrow. trump could end this shutdown because all Republicans are are trump cucks.

The point is the Republicans can open the government anytime they want
Only if they cave to Democrat ransom demands for somewhere between $500 billion and $1.5 trillion in NEW borrowing and spending to prop up the utter and complete failure of Obamacare.

Why should they? Why set the nation on the road to bankruptcy? That's another $1.5 trillion to prop up a failed health insurance system we can't afford. Why should anyone vote for that?

They'll still "skyrocket." The difference is that the rest of the country will be paying a shit load more taxes to cover the "free" money handed out to about 7% of Americans to subsidize their health insurance policy. Obamacare is a complete failure. If it were a success, the government wouldn't be going broke trying to subsidize it.

Trump first term "Obama care" was going to be replaced by something better! "It will be great''! What happened?

The purpose of ObamaCare was to shove more money towards the healthcare system, so that more money could be skimmed off.

It works as intended.

If the R's were being honest about their intent....which is iffy....the people who run America said no......they were overruled.

How's that Trump "leadership" working out for everyone?
Never better for the billionaire class.

The Trump administration has been giving additional massive tax breaks to uber-wealthy corporations through under-the-radar notices, according to a report.

Through proposed regulations, the Treasury Department has offered tax relief to private equity firms, crypto companies, foreign real estate investors, and other large corporations, the New York Times first reported.

It is. On Friday, the Democrats--THE DEMOCRATS--voted late in the day, after the news cycle passed, to NOT pay federal workers and the military. Three Democrats voted with Republicans to pay these workers. Who's fault is that?

There have been 14 clean CR votes now, and the Democrats refuse to do what they've done every time in past shutdowns, vote to open the government. Instead, like criminals holding a hostage, they continue to demand ransom. Schumer reduced the ransom demands some this week, but he's still demanding that Congress fund another huge deficit spending bill to prop up the failure of Obamacare.
As per trump, nobody gets paid until he opens up the govt. again. trump is not a Democrat.

Well since it is Schomer's shut down. Every Republican except Rand Paul has voted to reopen the government Every Democrat except Fetterman and one or two more have voted to keep the government shut down
Incorrect. The House is closed for business, and trump won't allow the Senate to reopen the govt.

Your premise is flawed. Extending the ACA subsidies would not bankrupt the nation. I'm guessing it would cost less than the 30 billion trumps sending to Argen fucking tina.

Whose ass did you pull that $1.5 out of? I'm guessing Elon's - he just got paid :)

"Obamacare is a complete failure". Say that to the millions who can depend on it. Also, Obamacare could be much improved if Republicans would stop sucking insurance company ass.
