Invent Robocop. If you eliminate immunity, you're telling a cop that they are not human, that by wearing that badge and carrying that gun, they are not allowed to do something that is perhaps the most human thing a human being can do: make a fucking mistake. I hope you hold yourself to the same standard. More cops are killed because THEY made a mistake than dirtbags getting killed by cops making bad use of force decisions. Why don't you guys ever talk about educating the dirtbags on the proper behavior to exhibit when confronted by a cop with a bat belt full of all kinds of neat toys that can wound and kill you?

if you look back to what you quoted (but must not have read) my statement was about people the cops killed who WEREN'T trying to kill someone else when they were shot.........and I don't see the need to hold people "accountable" for their good actions.........to be honest, I don't understand why you think they should.....can you explain that please?.......

The reporting alone is suspect, considering how they wrote the following paragraph to twist stats in a general direction.....

"Black Americans are killed at a much higher rate than White Americans

One also has to wonder how those deaths are reported by police....as an example, the UPS truck jacking that ended up with the hostage being killed in the crossfire......those results of which bullet(s) actually killed them has not been released over a year later...Now, I'll grant you that this isn't a very high number and it's probably not an isolated, though very uncommon, event......I would maybe go 95% taking the split between us
