So he lied, he immediately called it the Schumer shutdown. It was a blatant and obvious lie. But because Daffy lies so easily, you do not have to try and keep up. This is making rightys look foolish. We are all llaughing when you try to turn it on the left. Trump was handed a bill passed by the house and senate to keep the government open through Feb. Trump changed his alleged mind after agreeing to it.
This is Trumps shutdown. Stop the lying.

Great practice at denying basic facts, that is.
When the obvious logical solution to something is the liberal approach, many on the right tend to refuse to accept basic facts. Deny a situation exists and then no solution needs to be considered. Especially useful when the solution is something you don't want to accept.
It just seems way too glaringly obvious that the President said this many times during the campaign. This became a campaign promise. Everybody wondered how he was going to get Mexico to pay for his wall. Mexico flatly refused. Trump lied. He lied through his teeth. He WAS NOT ABLE TO GET MEXICO TO PAY FOR IT.
If he wanted you, the taxpayers, to pay for it why didn't he campaign on that?
"I want to build a wall on the Southern Border and I want to raise taxes to pay for it!"
That's what he should have said.
Or he could have truthfully said:
"I want to build a wall on the Southern Border and I want to add billions of dollars to the federal debt which I previously said I could get it paid off completely, (but I lied about that too,) and instead, I want to cut taxes so much that we don't have enough revenue to balance the budget, and so we'll run the federal debt even higher, AND THEN WE WILL ADD BILLIONS ON TOP OF THAT to the federal debt.
And your grandchildren can pay for it.
