Should we prosecute Hillary?

I can see the plan now, they are going to do to her what they did to Bill Clinton, spend 8 years trying to get her on something, spending billions on "investigations".
don't be ridiculous.......we already have something on her.....it should take eight months, tops.......

Id like him to do it either way, that way we can avoid hundreds of millions of dollars being spent on useless investigations.

I can see it now......she gets elected and Obama pardons her so she can have the legacy of being the first felon president who's been pardoned before her inauguration.....that might almost be worth seeing her win......

Good. She is a corrupt nutjob. They would be derelict in their duties if they don't.

How do you pardon someone that is not charged yet?

Presidential

1974
President Ford pardons former President Nixon

On this day in 1974, President Gerald Ford, who assumed office on the heels of President Richard M. Nixon’s resignation, pardons his predecessor for his involvement in the Watergate scandal.

Congress had accused Nixon of obstruction of justice during the investigation of the Watergate scandal, which began in 1972. White House tape recordings revealed that Nixon knew about and possibly authorized the illegal break-in and wiretapping of the Democratic National Committee offices, located in the Watergate Hotel in Washington D.C. Rather than face impeachment and removal from office, Nixon chose to resign on August 8, 1974.

I think that if there is enough evidence to justify charging her then she should be charged. We are a nation of laws not men and so no one person should be above the law no matter their political party or title.
I think there are ex post facto issues with the only prosecutable claim here.

your missing the argument of the new york times though. THeir argument is that to prevent the US from being a banana republic it doesnt matter whether the parties are guilty or not we should not prosecute them. I was hoping to get a discussion on whether or not people agree with that.
Banana republics typically fabricate charges in order to get rid of the opposition. If there are real charges, then they should be brought. Not necessarily for a POTUS, unless the crime is heinous.

Obama refused to prosecute Bush, claiming that future presidents might be hesitant to rule with an open mind if there was a concern about possible frivolous prosecution.
