It's the libertarian way with everything, except abortion, then we must pass a fetal rights amendment. But everything else is allowed, more guns, more money because it is speech, more drugs, more alcohol in fact just more of everything and see what happens. Look how hard it is to get them to bring even the barest bit of moderation to this place. Except of course in those rare instances when 5-6 posts from the past get brought forward by one or two posters on a Sunday afternoon. Then alarms go off and something has to be done.

For some reason this possibility never seems to enter the minds of the nutters; in their world a person always pulls a gun and instantly ends the confrontation with a single bullet like the "Lone Ranger" or some other mid 50s Western where it only took a quick draw and one shot to kill the bad guy. Of course, the Lone Ranger never has a shoot out in a crowded movie theater in the dark either, but who cares. The fantasy is always so much cleaner than the reality is ever going to be and nutters live in a fantasy world where they are always the hero and always the get the "bad guy"!

You didn't read the post, Mott. The reality is he didn't have access to those guns, he stole them after killing their owner. What new law you propose would have stopped him from shooting the owner of the guns and stealing them? And once again, which portion of the "no guns zone" fixed this problem? What part of denying this portion of the population their rights helped them?
