Sen. Feinstein calls Snowden's NSA leaks an 'act of treason'

do you even know what this shit is about? thousands of techs not only had the ability, but the authority to tap any phone line. judges, politicians, anybody. This isn't about collecting adclick data. Last I checked google doesn't listen in on my phone calls.

I'm not saying Google IS listening to your calls, but if you're using VoIP or SKPE they COULD be; or, if not Google, your ISP

B.S it's sugar coating stuff as to not to offend, If your liberal I want to offend you, because you are the problem with the country, again take political correctness, and tolerance, and diversity, and shove it, they are buzz words used to shut down speech

"Alot of women in this thread and im kind of intimidated I hope they dont collectively rip me to shreds. Im below average intelligence and quite afraid of violent females"

Sounds like all of the conservative men who post here. Are you a conservative man? You will have plenty of company.

I suspect this is Superfreak with a new name. Trying to hide from DH. Certainly sounds like him!

what? Why would I hide from Dung? I enjoy embarrassing him as occurred yesterday.

Why are democratic women such warmongers?

Clinton, Feinstein, Rice, Powers .. all rival, and even exceed the war speak that comes from the likes of Bachmann or Palin.

Is this what liberation looks like?

Are antiwar women considered soft?

I've never been a big fan of peanut butter.

To give you an idea, Im pro Union and im all for workers. That usually enrages conservatives. Im not for gay marriage that usually enrages the progressives.

Thus far you've only proven to be a fascist.

Oh....I thought he meant Condeleeza.

Snowden was given a position of trust. He had a secret or top secret clearance. To get that clearance he signed that he would NOT divulge any classified information that he came in contact with. He was Briefed and Rebriefed and he had to Swear to that silence more than once.
A whistleblower is someone wh SEEs a crime committed and reports it. A traitor just gives up classified information. Snowden for all intents is a Traitor and I believe there will be no where for him to hide in the long run.

Why the right on some forums are worked up to a frenzy and making Snowden a hero like hes personally saved your Personal Privacy.
Are they serious? First of all any old enough to remember or have knowledge of J Edgar Hoover knows the govt has been spying on individuals FROM DAY 1. Hoover had files on damn near every prominent american in Govt and civilian including movie stars. Elvis Presley was one of J edgar hoovers snitchs.
THe intent to invade your privacy is the same today as it was 50 yrs ago, what changed is the technology that gives them the ability to do it more extensively more efficiently faster and more insidiously. Remember however,
YOU every one of YOU willingly have given your personal privacy away and you give it away everytime you stick that cellphone to your face that your so addicted too.
The tech companies, Apple, Samsung, Sony etc gave the govt the technology and if you think those tech companies are data mining you, you live in lalaland yes its for a different purpose than the govt BUT ITS THE SAME THING.
Now the real bad news, none of us will ever have true privacy ever again. The technology is just going to get bigger and better all the time. As long as you are all addicted to Iphone and Galaxy you might as well bare your butt and walk backwards you are that exposed anyway. You gave your privacy away the govt nor anyone else has taken it from you.
Lastly Snowden is a traitor and should spend 22 out of 24hrs a day in cell until his heart stops imho

Are you honestly saying that Hoover was good in any way for this country? You are a traitor, not Snowden.

It's actually unclear just what authority the NSA had and the circumstances under which they could access information on individuals under the PRISM program. I'm not saying that you are wrong, just that we don't really know exactly what was going on. The Guardian and Washington Post reported one thing, the companies at issue denied it, the NSA denied it, and the NY Times reported something different from the Guardian and the Post that dovetail with what the companies and NSA have said. I don't know who is correct. Here's a good rundown:

https://medium.com/prism-truth/82a1791c94d3

PRISM is solely email. Different programs. What is "unclear" is your understanding of what is going on.

Nope. Here's a slide from the PRISM Power Point detailing the companies involved (which includes several that do not offer email services -- like Skype, Paltalk and Youtube) and the types of information available. It's not just email:

Yeah, I should have said "internet" rather than "email".

But honestly it doesn't change one iota that it isn't the only "program" that we are speaking of... and that our government is keeping your calls and information and you want to squidge around with whether or not it is "clear" that rights might be violated. Rubbish. Quit it. Back in the day when it was the first iteration of the Patriot act you and I were on the same side, we both disliked it. Now that it is fifty times worse and they're doing it to citizens unashamedly, you want to try to pretend it is "unclear" whether this is okay?

It's not okay. It's not going to get better if you, and other "freedom loving" Democrats, keep pushing the official line and pretending that this isn't "clear".

They have access to your data storage. Stop being an apologist and THINK.

Get off your soapbox, Damo. I'm just trying to understand what exactly the government is doing because it isn't at all clear.

Also, too, you can cut your partisan horseshit about "fifty times worse." It's the same fucking program started under Bush after Bush illegally wiretapped communications of American citizens, which came about after Total Information Awareness and the Information Awareness Office were shut down.

Well, you are allowed to be against gay marriages for yourself. Smiley face
