Sarah's history lesson

That there are people in America, roaming free, working in factories or serving in the army, that have been duped by a moron, is cause for great concern.

Obama thinks he campaigned in 57 states...with" 1 to go "-(Hawaii and Alaska, he counts as 1)

He thinks its still 2008.....

He says "corpse-man" when he means "corpsman"...Obviously clueless as to the meaning

Then gets the corpsman's name wrong.

Thinks Austria has its own language

Cluelessly kept talking – over the British national anthem

Said McCain " has not talked about my (his) Muslim faith..."

He Sees Dead People: "On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes - I see many of them in the audience here today - our sense of patriotism is particularly strong."

I see your point....

This is 'current news'?

Most people know that Revere was a collaborator after the British put a pistol to his head.

Where's the support for Palins thrilling tale of bell-ringing and defiant proclamations of gun rights?

“He who warned uh, the British that they weren’t gonna be takin’ away our arms, uh by ringing those bells, and um, makin’ sure as he’s riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be sure and we were going to be free, and we were going to be armed.”

Shouldn't you be posting this ancient history in one of Ice Dancer's desperate deflection threads? Maybe Yurt will give you a spurt.

Sarah Palin

You may have heard recently something about that Sarah Palin telling a reporter that Paul Revere warned the British on his famous rousing revolutionary ride.

Now, that so many Americans have wallowed in their smug confirmation that Palin is an idiot unqualified for anything but Paul Revere thinks about something paulreverefactsdotcomrepeating sixth-grade history, how far, wide and fast do you think the contradictory news will spread that the former governor of Alaska was indeed correct?

That the Republican non-candidate, in fact, knew more about the actual facts of Revere's midnight ride than all those idiots unknowingly revealing their own ignorance by laughing at her faux faux pas? How secretly embarrassing this must be, to be forced to face that you're dumber than the reputed dummy.

Blabo loved my smilies so much he copied them. Isn't that cute?

Unfortunately for Blabo, nothing in history supports the dimwit diva's distortion.

Sarah Palin said she didn’t mess up on Paul Revere. She said he did warn the British.

She was referring to Revere’s famous midnight ride, not his capture at the hands of the British.

Indeed, Revere did exactly that.

When he finished his famous ride to Lexington, he decided to embark on a new ride to Concord.

During this ride, he was captured by the British and subsequently warned them about the colonial resistance.

He warned the British verbally while captured, not with “warning shots and bells” while on horseback.

Seriously, if all you have against her is Paul Revere and whether he warned them by saying something or with warning shots and bells (some would say if he was doing that it might be how he was caught, and subsequently "warned" them in defiance)... if this is the worst you have against her, and the fact that she isn't telling the Press where she is going next...

Well, if that is the best y'all can do at this moment against Sarah, then she's outwitted all of you.

That is hardly all. Did you see her debate Joe Biden by any chance? Funniest night of my life. "I am not going to answer the question, but instead talk about what I know about, oil"

I'm someone who thinks the media is WAY over the top on Palin. I mean, she invites some of it, but it's far beyond anything that's warranted.

That said, I think incidents like this show a quality in her that is scary (and I'm not talking stupidity, since I don't think she's stupid). When she says something like this that is just flat-out wrong, most people would correct themselves, and just admit to the gaffe.

She's afraid of showing any weakness whatsoever, so she instead digs her heels in on stuff like this, and actually rewrites history to support what she said. We saw this in the campaign as well, and I think she alluded to this quality when she was asked about the 1st call she got from McCain, and how she didn't want to waiver or show any indecision whatsoever.

Nice try, Dalai Damocles. As you already know, the Quitter on Twitter has much more than this recent fuckup going for her in the Stupid Sweepstakes.

Here's a couple of sources for you to refresh your memory with. I'm sorry that none of them are up to the standards you displayed in smearing a Denver councilman this morning.

The thing is, she wasn't "just flat out wrong" as many have come to discover.

"Less known, obviously, is the rest of the evening's events in which Revere was captured by said redcoats and did indeed defiantly warn them of the awakened militia awaiting their arrival ahead and of the American Revolution's inevitable victory.Palin knew this. The on-scene reporters did not and ran off like Revere to alert the world to Palin's latest mis-speak, which wasn't." --LA Times

So, your answer is: yes. Currently the best shots you have deal with Paul Revere and her bus driver's skills when the media is desperately trying to stalk her into fame.

She really has played y'all.

Another liar who claimed to have me on ignore pipes up in my thread.

Palin stupidly said this: “He who warned uh, the British that they weren’t gonna be takin’ away our arms, uh by ringing those bells, and um, makin’ sure as he’s riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be sure and we were going to be free, and we were going to be armed.”

Did Revere ring any bells to warn the British?

Did he fire any shots?

No, after he set out on his second ride, he was was captured, and blabbed....

Later, much later, the clueless Conservatard offered this lameness:

You know what, I didn't mess up about Paul Revere, here is what Paul Revere did. He warned the Americans that the British were coming, the British were coming and they were going to try to take our arms and we have to make sure we were protecting ourselves and shoring up all of our ammunitions and our firearms so they couldn't take it. Remember, the British had been there, many soldiers for seven years in that area. Part of Paul Revere's ride, it wasn't just one ride, he was a courier, a messenger. Part of the ride was to warn British that we're already there. You are not going to succeed. You are not going to take American arms. You are not going to beat our own well-armed persons, individual private militia we have. He did warn the British."

In a shout out, gotcha question that was asked of me, I answered candidly. I know my American history."

I like that Andrew Malcolm (Laura Bush's former PR flack) pretends to know what Sarah Palin "knew" when she gave that ridiculous answer. Watch the video. It's clear she doesn't know what the fuck she is talking about. I'm guessing that if anyone asked her what books she has read about the Revolutionary War she'd respond "All of 'em."

The historian quoted in the Boston Globe nailed this one: “I would describe her as lucky in her history as opposed to knowledgeable in her history."
