Same Sex Marriages

No kidding. Even as a kid I never understood why Lot was spared and considered a man of god, when he was offering his daughters around my age for appeasement. Angels are big boys, they can take care of themselves.
I always wondered why he was spared then tricked into incestual relationships by his daughters?

My guess is to spice up things around the campfire. Those stories were told for a few thousand years before Moses/whomever, wrote them down. Some books of the Bible are obviously a little less factual then others.

You should hear the other story in their Jewish stories.

What those people tried to do with those angels were attempted rape. And yes you're correct on the other one. Pimping and child trafficking being one of them. It continues to this day.

In other words, the premise that they created for this story fails because it has nothing to do with homosexuality. The main thing being rape or attempted rape. Notice they aren't outraged about Lot's action?

It's why I said homosexual sex was just a footnote. It wasn't among what were more common practices like selling children, etc. So it's somehow more taboo back then. The term Sodomy is exclusive for homosexual acts but it's namesake was hardly about homosexuality.

HAHAHAHAHA. Probably.

This one should be of interest for anybody who is interested in this.

Like many stories in the Bible several questions are left unanswered. I was never taught Sodom and Gomorrah was only about homosexuality, but all sorts of sins:

"they loved neither God nor neighbor, but worshiped idols, were proud and arrogant, oppressed the poor, crushed the needy, were cruel and
violent, and failed to show their sacred duty of hospitality to the stranger"

So you can't say how polygamy or same-sex marriage would affect you, personally.
So you can't stay on topic. Typical leftist.

Just some ambiguous fuming about following the rule of law, or something.
You were advocating breaking the law with complete abandon. How quickly you forget what you write, perhaps because it isn't very important to you.

Shouldn't you be out looting?

I tried to look for that story about that woman. I found this one. It's a good article. I'll find more later.

Lot didn't know they were angels. Obviously the angels didn't let the daughters be sacrificed.

As ProudLefty's link pointed out, the sin of Sodom wasn't homosexuality but violating the law of hospitality.

True. Every time I wonder how so-called self-described Christians can support the Vulgarity-in-Chief who lusts for his own daughter, I think of Lot doing the same yet being a "man of god," and then I understand where they got it from. As a side note, this was yet another story about men being noble and great, and women being disobedient and sluts. lol
