Well, I don’t believe in demeaning people’s work, no matter how minimal, and there will people effected by these shutdowns, not just the workers. They are non essential in that they do not affect the security of this country. They are essential in what they do. The shut downs have never been long enough to really affect people by the closure of these departments. I appreciate and am grateful for the people who clean the toilets at rest stops and in our government buildings. I feel they are essential.
