That's conventional wisdom, but from what I am reading the 'cracks' are becoming 'chasms'. He, like trump who could never stand tall against the press, just cancelled his annual huge press conference. He actually chose to avoid spreading propaganda because he doesn't want to appear in public.

Agree. From what I'm reading, anyone behind him is just as bad. But...if he's dumped because of the war, then perhaps the successor will end this mess and rejoin the rest of the world's economy?
