Russia shut out permanently from world energy markets

Germany plans to stop importing Russian oil by the end of the year even if the European Union fails to agree on an EU-wide ban in its next set of sanctions, government officials said.

Efforts to seal deals with alternative suppliers are progressing at the chancellery in Berlin and the government is confident it can solve remaining logistical problems within the next six to seven months, according to the officials.

The world won't allow Russia to return to global markets unless President Putin has a "change of heart," which is unlikely, according to Kory Judd, director of operations for Chevron's Australian business.

I hope this is true, things can never got back normal again, after the invasion of Ukraine by Russia?!! We are talking about 10's of thousands of civilian dead, war crimes, and north of 500 billions dollars of damage to Ukraine so far?!! Let's see if Russia can be self sufficient?!!

Nat. gas production is down because the industry cut production in order to increase profits. If they aren't drilling on existing wells, then why would you worry about future ones?

I think the way Russia salvages their energy industry and make it ultra profitable is to depose Putin, withdraw from Ukraine, apologize, and offer to pay restitution.

Russia does not have easy warm water ports, and beyond that where would they get the investment for new LNG terminals. No one wants to invest in Russia right now, or honestly for a long time to come.
