Romney is doomed!

Put up a candidate and many will cross over. So far you have no one close to being a better bet than Obama.

Romney is a candidate that can beat Obama. If the economy stays as it is, he would certainly win.

Furthermore, many democrats are happy with Obama, we just wish he had done more, such as sticking firm for a single payer, punishing the Wall Street misbehavers, and prosecuting the BushII administration for war crimes and treason.

Yes, many are happy with him, hence his 65-70% approval among Dems. That said, he won over McCain in part due to the economy and in part due to very high voter turnout among youth and minority voters. This time around the economy is working against him (currently) and he has yet to regain his inspirational campaign style that brought out the big youth and minority votes.

He has lost a lot of ground among independents and that just adds on to his current up hill climb.

That said, if the Reps nominate someone deemed to far to the right, Obama can still win even without an improvement in the economy.

1. I still say no democrats will vote for Romney. He is a known chameleon. There is no way to know where he really stands.
2. GOP kingmakers are no fans of Romney either.

Again, I doubt there has EVER been an election where a candidate won every vote of those registered to his/her party. Saying 'romney is a chameleon' is not sufficient. I would be willing to bet we can find just as many signs of such with ANY politician from either party. Including Obama.

Which again leads me back to the 'Romney's problem will be winning the primary'

??....who would expect any Democrat to vote for the Republican nominee?......

I've heard that a lot of registered Democarts intend to vote in open Republican primaries, and some will even temporarily change their party affiliation to vote in closed primary states....its' a fairly common practice when the opposite party needs a little "help" in the primaries. It's called raiding.

Which is why I said the right doesn't have a candidate.

On a side note, before you get in a frenzy about the mythical Romney, research the real Romney.
The more you learn about him, the more you will wish Christie wasn't a fat slob.

Christie says he won't run.

Perry it is.

I guess Obama is a lock then.

More Voters Considering Romney Than Obama, Perry

PRINCETON, NJ -- More registered voters say they would definitely vote for Mitt Romney or might consider doing so (62%) than say the same about his two main rivals in the 2012 presidential election, Democrat Barack Obama (54%) and Republican Rick Perry (53%).

Please tell me whether you would definitely vote for each of the following candidates if he were his party’s nominee for president, whether you might consider voting for that person, or whether you would definitely not vote for that person. September 2011 results

Anyone who speaks in absolutes about the outcome of the upcoming election is an idiot!

Having worked in the financial world for almost two decades, I know who Romney is. I doubt you know any more about him than what some left wing nut web sites have told you.

How so, See you just comfirmed my belife that you dont really read my post, but simply choose to believe what you choose regardless of what I write.

Um... your comment was an ABSOLUTE... hence, the irony

Side note... if I had not READ your post, I would not have noticed the irony of it.

He was Governor of my state for 4 years. His actions directly affected me.
He ran against Ted Kennedy in '92 which proves his ego is stronger than his street sense.
He ran for POTUS in in '08, a race no republican could have won, which proves his ego is stronger than his common sense.
He is a continuos flip flopper. There is no way to know where he really stands, over than that he stands head and shoulders higher than any other GOP candidate.
He created RomneyCare, which proves he is a RINO.
As my friend says, you are stuck with Perry, good luck with that.
I do not peruse leftwing nut web site, except when I need fodder to piss off Failias.

LMAO.... so, because he ran against an incumbent he doesn't have street sense? Or could it be that he felt someone had to run against that pathetic alcoholic and he was hoping the people of MA wouldn't re-elect the murderer another time?

He ran for POTUS in in '08, a race no republican could have won, which proves his ego is stronger than his common sense.

That is just nonsense. McCain screwed the pooch at the end with his selection of Palin and his comments on the economy. The fact that the economic implosion happened just before the election was the main reason it was a blow out.

He is a continuos flip flopper. There is no way to know where he really stands, over than that he stands head and shoulders higher than any other GOP candidate.

You keep saying that, but providing little in the way of evidence. You are also ignoring the changing of positions by your messiah. Correct me if I am wrong.... but

1) Is Gitmo still open?
2) Bush tax cuts extended?
3) Wire tapping still going on?
4) War in Iraq and Afghanistan (not to mention our 'non-hostile' actions in Libya)

Just to name a few.

He created RomneyCare, which proves he is a RINO.

No, it means he governed based on his constituents.

As my friend says, you are stuck with Perry, good luck with that.

yes... and Hillary was a LOCK about this time in 2007.... Perry is already fading.
