Rittenhouse defense spooked!

Now the Defense is demanding a mistrial without prejudice, meaning they are looking for a new trial.

Only after the close of evidence and a day of deliberations, the Defense has filed a motion for a mistrial!

The defense along with this seditious and biased judge should be charged with obstruction of justice on behalf of the two men the murderous Rattenhouse ending their lives and the one person he injured. Apparently in this case, so-called white lives don't matter either with this lawless and unethical court at pacifying this smug murderer Rattenhouse who should be convicted with two counts of premediated murder and one count of attempted murder and to suffer the punishment guidelines he so deserves.

You stupid bastard the judge was appointed by a Democrat .
Id love to see 3 men kicking and beating you with a board and one with a gun. What would you do beg them to stop. Tell them you will suck thier cocks if they stop allow your self to be crippled or dead.
Or would you defend yourself. Your a fucking moron . Id love to see how you would handle it.

I also found this interesting. I had an opinion on what I thought the jury would do, but the longer this goes without a verdict the more likely that prediction will be at least partially wrong. I thought he'd be cleared of almost everything relatively quickly, that prosecutor really did a poor job. But heck, this goes to show that being in the room and being a jurist is different than watching and listening at home. One thing that the jury didn't get is all that dressing down by the judge.

I've been surprised from the outset that Kyle didn't request a Judge trial rather than a Jury trial.

They requested copies of the judge's instructions, so they probably spent all day reading them, What 32 or 36 pages? The Federal jury I was on, we only had 5 or so pages and we were in for 3+ days.

Maybe it doesn't look so good for the big tough guy with a gun who turns out to actually be a sniveling little kid on the stand.

Not only are things different for those in the room, other people do not share the same biases you have.

Hello Nordberg,

Rightys do not need facts. If you believe, it becomes true.

In their heads, lots of false things become 'true.'

The Trump Party lives in an imaginary world where Trump's inauguration was the biggest.

(And it has all gone downhill from there...)

I've sat on a few juries. The real thing is nothing like the TV coverage.

.

Good points, especially your interesting last one. Don't know if a court trial would have fallen to this judge but I doubt any judge would have wanted it.

An odd change but isn't that SOP?

Interesting choice.

Not a lawyer so I don't know which is the better choice, but I do know that the shorter the trial, the less money fucking lawyer's would get from Kyle's $2M defense fund.

dude.....they filed a motion for mistrial because the prosecution withheld evidence........you say you're a lawyer and you choose to gloss over that little fact?.....

Prior to this the only filed motions for a mistrial with prejudice, now they are no longer interested in the prejudice. I don’t believe you’ve ever tried serious jury trials, or you would understand when you do one or the other.
