Right-wingers blame multiculturalism, abortion for Norway massacre

This is not correct.
-A Catholic

I'm a Catholic also. Unless I missed something, papal doctrine still only recognizes confession and the last rites as the only ways of forgiveness of sin in the Catholic Church. Please, enlighten me if I am mistaken.

What you call "cherry picking the bible" is actually understanding and correctly dividing the Word of God. Your problem is you do not understand the difference between the Old Testament and the New Testament and you do not have any knowledge of the teachings in the Epistles to the Christian Church. In other words, you don't have any real knowledge on the subject.

I would like to understand your belief system more, so that we can communicate effectively. Not the whole belief system as, I'm sure, that would take a while.
What role do the Testaments play?
Is the Old/New Testament a guide or a book of law to you?
What are your beliefs about homosexuals and those of other religions? Are they enemies of Christianity?
What does accepting Jesus as your personal savior actually mean? How can one judge it?

And you are the sole arbiter?

LOL. Have you managed to read Breivik's manifesto yet?

I like Romney. He seems very level headed. If a version of Obamacare is to be enacted, which I don't think it should, I think it should be at the state level, where people can customize it for themselves. I had never heard these quotes before though.

Let's start with the Old and New Testaments. They are covenants with God. Promises of God. The NT began when Jesus rose from the Dead and then sent the Holy Spirit. The book of Acts explains how the Christian Church began. The Epistles in the NT explain the teachings of the Christian Church.

Christians are not under any Law but love: Romans 13: 8: "Owe nothing to anyone--except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God's law."

Ok. This helps me understand you a bit more. Thank you. I try not to judge people on the bounds of religion, because belief systems are very, very different. Recognize that I will probably quote that verse back to you if you start issuing rhetoric against people though.

BTW, you never did explain why you think Christians should oppose Big Government.

Everyone makes their own judgement. I am making mine based on my knowledge of the shooter and my knowledge of Christianity. The fact you disagree with that determination doesn't make me anything. Obvioiusly, it sure rattles your walls. That tells me you are lacking in self confidence in what you personally believe. That makes you weak and pathetic.

That doesn't sound like loving your neighbor.

Christ instituted the Sacrament of Reconciliation in John when he reappeared to the Apostles after His death and resurrection. Hence, the sacrament comes from Jesus and not from the Priest, who is a mere intercessor in the whole affair, much like the saints we pray to for help. For example, when you receive the Holy Eucharist, in all of its life-giving grace which Jesus promised us, is it the Priest who consecrated the Eucharist that is saving you, or is it Jesus? The Church serves as an instrument for Christ's mission, due to Apostalic succession, the sacraments, etc., but faith and salvation remain a matter of the individual and his/her personal, spiritual relationship with God.

I do not use rhetoric. When I speak against Islam, I am not speaking against any person. I am speaking against a belief system. That's where ignorant people get confused.

LOL. Breivik made his own judgement. He said he's a Christian.

The poster is one account of many which makes up the board member known as Legion Troll. He is most unloved, both on this board, and in life on the outside. No one is required to show Legion any respect, let alone recognize him as a real person.

You, of course, are correct. I was over-simplifying, but I thought trying to explain something like that would prove difficult on a board. You did a very good job. And even though it is Jesus that consecrates the Eucharist, it is through the Priest that he does so. Much like with confession and the last rites. However I am a terrible Catholic and I haven't been to confession since I've been to war.

So you believe that the universe was created in seven days, corpses reanimate, spirits fly around etc., but you don't believe your fellow Christian Anders Breivik's own words?

Interesting.

Then give us the exact words I used that make you think I am not loving my neighbor. Thanks.

To \(\(\/)/)/ you said: "That makes you weak and pathetic." How many people do you love that you would say that too?
