Right-wingers blame multiculturalism, abortion for Norway massacre

Christians are the enemy of the left. They have the power that stands in their way in America. Christians oppose gay marriage, abortion, big government, etc, etc.

You seriously believe that the bible instructs Christians to oppose big government? It's starting to sound like you cherry pick the bible to give your beliefs religious backing. That is not Christianity. Judeo-Christian thought says that God gave man free will. It also says every man sins and that it is a constant struggle to be right with God. It never says that Christians should force other into this belief. Jesus led by example not by force. He never hated the non-believers, the Gentiles, and he never discriminated against them. It upsets me that some conservatives have a holier than thou attitude, because that is also not taught by Jesus. According to the bible, homosexuality is a abomination (Leviticus 18:22), not a sin, but lying and coveting your neighbors wife are. It never says which is worse. Yet, I've seen religious conservatives defend Rush Limbaugh (yes, hes a liar) and Newt Gingrich (a liar, a cheat, and *gasp* a divorcee x2). This makes no sense. Lets not even start the ridiculous lies that the religious right said about Obama being a Muslim or a Kenyan. The only way to tell a Christian is if someone claims to be one. They may not be a very good Christian if they don't live their life in accordance with the principles laid out by Christ, but they are still Christian. A bad Christian is not a reflection of Christianity as a whole.

You can't be a Christian if you don't believe in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. The shooter did not believe Jesus Christ is his Savior. He said that. That's what the shooter said. Not me. Do you understand that?

The words of someone who is insane. If you want to really take his words seriously, then you can't call him a Christian because he said he didn't believe in Jesus Christ. You want to pick and choose his words you want to believe to fit your agenda. Are you after the truth or do you just want to push your agenda?

They won't read "his own words" because they'd learn that he is a Christian.

I love the attempt to move the goal posts as the facts come out - first, it was "prove he's a Christian. Then, that morphed into "prove he said he was killing for Christ", followed by "prove he's a member of a Christian group".

  • He's a Christian.

  • He's a conservative.

  • He's a killer.

I'm justing pointing at the hypocracy of the fellow Jesus freaks.
Muslim terrorist = killing for Muhamed
Christian terrorist = umm he's not a christian (dispite his own words saying he's fighting the influx of muslims)

K got it

Right. Let's see...does the current GOP frontrunner poll well with the Religious Righties? As Governor, didn't he push through the model for ObamaCare? Isn't he a Mormon?

Mitt speaks:

"...When I first ran for office, being deeply opposed to abortion but saying, “I support the current law,” which was pro-choice and effectively a pro-choice position..."

"...I had a dear, close family relative that was very close to me who passed away from an illegal abortion. We will not force our beliefs on others, and you will not see me wavering on that."

I like how you had absolutely no response for my actual post. I'll break it down for you:
You think God opposes big government.
You cherry pick the bible and ignore what you dont like.
You defend 'non-Christians' as Christian all the time, because they are conservative.
You are a hypocrite.

Not to respond to your post:
You may not be able to be your particular sub-genre of evangelical Christianity if you don't accept Jesus as your personal Savior, but the whole "personal Savior" bit is a new invention in Christianity. Sometime in the last 20 years that became the cool thing to say. Catholics, Calvinists, Episcopals, Anglicans, etc, historically never held that belief. Mostly Christianity believed that Christ gave his life for the forgiveness of all sin. Not a one on one savior. Even Catholicism today believes that confession through a priest is required for true forgiveness of sins. Does that make Catholicism un-Christian in your book?

Could the blame be anymore misplaced than the liberals who blame the american Tea Party for the murders?

Just like they blamed the Tea Party for the shooting in AZ?

I like Romney. He seems very level headed. If a version of Obamacare is to be enacted, which I don't think it should, I think it should be at the state level, where people can customize it for themselves. I had never heard these quotes before though.

Fighting against muslims doesn't make anyone a Christian. You're kinda confused.

This is not correct.

What you call "cherry picking the bible" is actually understanding and correctly dividing the Word of God. Your problem is you do not understand the difference between the Old Testament and the New Testament and you do not have any knowledge of the teachings in the Epistles to the Christian Church. In other words, you don't have any real knowledge on the subject.
