And you like the electoral because it's been awhile since a Republican won the popular, and it doesn't look like they'll win the popular again.

Other countries don't really understand why the popular vote winner loses the election here. It's outdated because it was a concession to slave-owning states - it wasn't really based on any real logic for the long term.

You are delusional about anyone screwing around with any election. I doubt we will have Trump in office ever again, but we will see. He is a man with fascist tendencies who had a mission of tearing down portions of our system and building them back as he saw fit... its dangerous to have such a person in office. I think parts of our system need tearing down, but not rebuilt by a person such as Trump.

Mandates are nothing new, sometimes they are necessary for the good of a society, we have plenty of mandates.

Irrelevant. In the vast majority of cases the winner of both becomes president. This is just another example of leftist overplaying their hand. This is the same tactic and harry Reid and the nuclear option. I am still amazed when I see a leftist with all their digits.

What other countries think is irrelevant. You haven't convinced me yet that you want it changed for purely wholesome purposes.

True but not to put something into my body I don't want. On top of that covid has a better than 98% recovery rate. The "good" to society wasn't served by mandating it, but the good of fauxis wallet was sure served by the mandates.

It's not one of my big issues. If it stays as electoral, I'm okay w/ that. I just think we're getting to a point where red states have an inordinate level of influence, and parts of the gov't do not represent the majority any longer. The minority needs a voice - but they shouldn't rule. SCOTUS in particular is completely out of step w/ the mainstream of America (don't try to argue that - I know you likely appreciate the court's current make-up, but it is very right-wing, and the country is not).

No one here ever believes me, but I don't always vote Dem. I actually haven't in quite awhile in the Presidential. I usually go 3rd party, but Kasich was my 1st choice out of both parties in 2016.

So let me get this straight, you say trump wanted to tear down portions of our system and you think parts of our system should be open down but he's the one with the fascist tendencies not you??? Oh, man - he would have been a GREAT President. And it cracks me up when righties call him a "RINO." There is absolutely no doubting his conservative credentials.

He's too conservative for me - but he's also common sense, and he listens to people. He knows how to lead. And his track record of accomplishment is nearly impeccable.

I wouldn't disbelieve you but voting third party is a waste of a vote. I'd rather see you vote democrat. Had there been a third party in 2016 with an actual chance to win I would have voted third party but as it is I had to do what I had to do because it was only going to be one of two options.

I've heard that argument, but my state is pre-determined every election. I figure why not at least try to do the smallest bit I can possibly do to help a 3rd party out. It's assuredly fruitless, but if more voted like that, maybe we could finally get away from the 2-party system.

I'm excited about that party Yang just started. Probably a longshot, but it's fun to hope.
