Republicans Can Dump Kavanaugh Now, Or Risk A Nightmare Scenario

The longer Brett Kavanaugh twists in the wind, the more likely it is that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump will consider the risks ― and decide to pull the plug.

With every passing day, more and more witnesses are coming out of the woodwork to contradict this or that aspect of Kavanaugh’s story. There are now multiple people who knew him well who say he was a much more reckless drinker than he claimed.

There is one date on his calendar, July 1, that increasingly looks as if it could be the date of the infamous party that Christine Blasey Ford described. The FBI will explore all of this, and more.

As McConnell and the Republicans get a clearer sense of just whom the FBI will be talking to and what will come out, the following is their nightmare scenario:

Never happen, Trump is in too deep, if he pulled Bret it would make him look weak, and we all know Trump's fragile ego wouldn't allow it, couldn't blame the Democrats enough to get out from beneath that one

The best they can do at this point is convince K. to withdraw, and come up with some specious reason like "I love the country so much and this is just a distraction from the important business of the Senate and the SCt. blah blah blah." And then hire him as one of Trump's ill-fated attorneys. lol

Or he just disappears,never to be seen or heard from again.Then they blame Hillary,which the base swallows like a $2 whore.
 
If there is no clear and persuasive breakthrough by the FBI, Kavanaugh will be confirmed, and that a new nightmare opens for America.
 
They should have done that long long ago.

What sort of vetting are they doing for candidates when a dedicated degenerate inebriate
eludes detection for 35 years and rises to this lofty level? I mean, I don't expect humans to be superheroes in the main, I just expect about
the 9 most important people on the planet to not resemble an actor in the movie Porky's. Sure, you want to be a fucking mailman
or bag groceries at Vons? Tie one fucking on every evening. Mix up some mail, see if I care. But a Supreme Court Justice? And it ain't like he won't get worse
over the next 30 years. He'll be knocking them back while rubber stamping affirmations of death warrants hand over fist.

Republicans, including most conservatives on this board, whole heartedly supported the election of noted pedophile Roy Moore.

That is the level of depravity we are dealing with.

There is zero chance they aren't going to nominate Kavanagh, short of a self-confession of rape and assault.

Ms. Lindsey Graham is basically on record saying he is going to vote yes no matter what the FBI discovers.

The GOP is afraid they might lose the house of representatives. I am pretty sure they feel if they do not nominate an alleged rapist to the SCOTUS, their base will abandon them and they will lose the senate. The consequences could not be more seismic.

Or they can continue as they are and when this is done, explain to the US voters how liberals and the DNC believe that the Constitution should be changed to:

GUILTY, UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT

And that such a thing could happen to anyone of them.
