Reps. Green and Sherman announce plan to file articles of impeachment

I find that interesting. ILA mentioned something along the same lines. I need to study up more on impeachment and thank the both of you for some knowledge I am not familiar with. Tonight I am going to do a little studying on this. Wonder if it is as easy to begin impeach or recall proceedings on elected representatives with the same ease, per se.
there needs to be some legal malfeasance , or "serious Congresspeople" would never stand for a house of cards indictment.
But it's just as political as legal also.

Never?

During the presidency of Barack Obama, certain Republican congressmembers stated that Obama may have engaged in impeachable activity and that he might face attempts to remove him from office.[SUP][1][/SUP] Rationales offered for possible impeachment included allegations that Obama was born outside of the United States, that he allegedly allowed people to use bathrooms based on their gender identity, an alleged White House cover-up after the 2012 Benghazi attack and failure to enforce Immigration laws. No list of articles of impeachment was ever drawn up and proposed to the Judiciary Committee.

Multiple surveys of U.S. public opinion found that the clear majority of Americans rejected the idea of impeaching Obama, while most Republicans were in favor; for example, CNN found in July 2014 that 57% of Republicans supported efforts while about two thirds of adult Americans in general disagreed.[SUP][2][/SUP]

I call bullshit. And it certainly wasn't from the day he took office, as I said.

<shrug> Call it whatever you want. It's all backed up with footnotes.

Personally I think it's way too early to even discuss impeaching trump and want to wait for everything to be investigated.

Not according to the US Constitution there doesn't. That is what is generally accepted but impeachment is a political act not a legal one

Yup.

In theory, Trump can be impeached for anything. In practice, congress needs to come up with something concrete or the political blowback will be considerable.

hey,
In truth and in Theory Trump can not and will not be impeached by a Republican Senate, to even entertain this subject with a goofy thread in a political forum is already giving it too much thought.
You may as well talk about the possibility of aliens landing in LA and bringing us all gold watches. Not going to happen.

it's a political act, but it has to be hung together in an indictment form
and there has to be something criminal mentioned or it goes nowhere except into Maxine Waters head.

Is that another prediction?

I predict the demmycrats will continue to waste our time looking for something that doesn't exist and will never pay attention to the country's problems.......in other words, just like they did the last eight years.......
