Rep Ryan kicked some serious ass

I'm fairly sure I know the position of the opposition on this one. I just don't know what specifically Rep. Ryan was talking about and I'm not inclined to listen to him prattle.

How difficult is it for you to give a thumbnail sketch of what he had to say?
It was about fiscal responsibility and keeping promises made, backed up with actual quotes and facts. :)

If you don't support UHC, get the *&%$ out of the room. You add nothing to the discussion. You're disgusting.

Wow, are you auditioning for the moderator postion in the health care discussion. From what I saw yesterday you could actually switch places with Obama and some of the other's ....wouldn't be much difference. :)

Notwithstanding me being a turbo-lib, anybody who opposes this massive wealth redistribution called HC reform is OK in my book.

Well, Rep. Ryan, while a very smart guy and one of few Republicans that actually understands healthcare issues, has really no grounds for criticizing the Democratic bills as breaking promises. His "alternative budget" is all about slashing Medicare and Medicaid (among other things).

Frankly, I'd be more inclined to take Ryan seriously if he actually had a genuine proposal to do soemthing positive about Meidcare and Medicaid costs. Cutting benefits and reducing Medicare to a voucher program isn't going to cut it.

Simple deflection your part. The discussion is about health care reform.

I read that Ryan's presentation mainly concerned Medicare and Medicaid, no? And how are Medicare and Medicaid not part of the discussion of healthcare reform?

You wanted a response, you got one. That you cannot deal with the truth about Rep. Ryan is not my problem.

He mentioned that those programs were bankrupt and this new one would do the same thing. He then pointed out why.

WHy cant we hear the resonse?

WHen I posted clips from the Q&A the other day, I included both the question, the answer and the responce to the question

No... it didn't... if you had bothered to take the six minutes to listen rather than acting like a petulant child, wasting time whining about what you THINK it was about.... then you would know what he discussed.

Hack.

it would be faster for you to listen.....just about every sentence he uttered was a significant statement about the failings of the proposed statute....

still obvious you didn't listen to his comments....thus, your criticism is meaningless......

So what? I'm not really inclined to watch Rep. Ryan talk. Give me a summation and maybe I'll address it.

Of course you're not. That would require a bi partisan spirit and the integrity to be fair.

Obama had the courtesy in this to at least demonstrate he was listening and although in serious disagreement on many issues, that he was willing to be respectful and listen.

Of course Biden couldn't keep a straight face at a funeral.

This isn't about reaching mutual ground for you. This is simply about winning.

Ryan was cogent, articulate and offered some insight into what the distinguishing differences were between parties.

The crapola we've been hearing that Repubs/Conserves don't want to offer solutions is empty, just like this piece of fluff nonsense you just posted.

What solutions did Rep. Ryan offer?
