Rep Paul Ryan's freedom of silence

Tom Nielsen is a 71 year old man with a booming voice. He spoke out at Paul Ryan's Rotary Lunch in Greenfield, Wisconsin, last Tuesday, and was summarily escorted from the room, pushed to the floor, handcuffed, and ejected from the building. He was given municipal citations for violations of 2 city ordinances: resisting arrest and trespassing - even though he had purchased an event ticket.

What say you now, Damo?

Resisting arrest, exactly as I said.

The Tea-rorists hate being asked why tax cuts have only made the rich richer and haven't produced jobs or prosperity.

I guess we can add Freedumb to the dance card, folks! ;)

Sorry TaiBitch; you'll have to look elsewhere for your dance.

Awww, poor widdle Tempie is all pissed because I've (once again) demonstrated what a complete jackass and blowhard he is. If the little dummy wasn't on the dance card, then he wouldn't bother posting or responding to me or on my threads or to anyone doing likewise.

Watch Tempie (alias Freedumb, alias USFreedom911) dance folks. Dance, clown, dance! :)

Interesting, the next time I hear you complaining about a protest from a "TEA Party member"... I'll remember your awesome posts here. So far the people you are reviling here have said the same thing: If it were a TEA Party idiot that did this we would not be complaining because they too have no right to make assembly impossible for others...

And your side's argument: So long as the guy acting a jerk agrees with me, he should be allowed to do anything he pleases regardless of the rights of others.

You need to pay attention Damo. I never called for the tea partiers that deliberately disrupted Democrats that held town hall meetings to be ARRESTED.

Please provide the RULES for free speech in this country?

And since I KNOW from past dealings that you are incapable of admitting an inability to meet a simple burden of proof Tempie , I'll just watch you repeat your bluff and blusters, lies and BS ad nauseum. But then TaiBitchy; you could have TaiBitchy actually have some pertinant information, before TaiBitchy starts whining.
Got that TaiBitchy.

As the chronology of the posts shows, Neither Tempie (alias Freedumb, alias USFreedom911) or any of his like minded Ryan lackies could actually provided the link or quote from the "Ryan law" they swore justified the draconian methods used to silence the Gov. Ryan critic at the townhall meeting. The only person who did provide the information was Bfgrn...and that information clearly shows how full of it Tempie and his moronic cohorts are....they just drop names that they heard via their right wingnut blog sites, broadcasters and pundits without actually knowing the content.

But rather than just acknowledge his error, Tempie does EXACTLY like I said he would...bluff, bluster, lie and BS ad nauseum. Ever the clown, we can watch Tempie dance ever faster to have the last, repetitive word in that vein. I leave him to it. ;)

at the end of the video in the OP.... he is walking out with his hands cuffed behind him. Have you even WATCHED the video?

So he interrupted with a tantrum....

so there were other disruptions to the meeting. Good to know. so it WAS a private event that charged admission. Good to know. I enjoy mocking those who throw tantrums as well.... just as you are doing on this thread.

So the PRIVATE organization brought Ryan in to SPEAK to them. Hmmmm..... so they wanted to hear what he had to say, not listen to people throwing tantrums trying to shout down Ryan. Good to know.

they were likely aware that many on the left have been lied to by their Dem masters and thus assumed there would be tantrum throwers there.

probably because it was..... FUNNY.

well, there you have it.... those are the reasons they arrested him. Though if he purchased a ticket I can't see the trespassing sticking. Should have charged him with disorderly conduct.

I bet this isn't biased at all.... right?

yeah... no bias there.... too bad the video didn't show that snarling cop. That video, if shot at once, didn't have a whole lot of time for him to have had the above conversation.

Too damn funny. So to listen to what Ryan is saying without shouting him down is somehow unAmerican?

How many stupid Dem talking points did he cram into that little paragraph. The DNC should pay him for being such a good parrot.

Please tell me the RULES of free speech in this country you fucking nazi?

But what you missed TaiBitchy, is that it can be used to determine if someone is being disruptive and if so that person can then be removed. If he refuses to leave, then he can be arrested.
Refute this, if you can.

Wrong as usual, my intellectual dishonest Template! One has only to read the rules to know what it SPECIFICALLY was addressing. What YOU WANT to do is just replace key words and phrases to adapt to your assertions....you can do that until the cows come home, but it won't change the information presented and what that information specifically refers to. Again for the cheap seats, a townhall meeting has it's own set of general rules that DO NOT INCLUDE the "Ryan's law".....which as BFGRN pointed out, was NEVER legally adopted by any state or federal ruling as a binding legal standard. In short, my dear dumb Tempie, what you wish it to be has no basis in reality. But then again, reality rarely applies to the teabagger/neocon mentality. So continue to try and pass off what you want as what actually is, Tempie.....it's what you do best. Adios.

It's your own fault if you can't tell the difference between free speech and disruptive speech.

Oh, so the only right we have is either conformity or silence.

when you calm down and start acting like an adult, I would ask that you go back to my earlier comments where I explained it in detail to you.

The short version.... free speech does not give you the right to shout others down in any forum of your choosing. Specific forums have specific rules that are to be followed. If you do not follow them, you will be asked to leave. The part where you continually FAIL to comprehend is the fact that EVERY OTHER PERSON IN THAT ROOM HAS RIGHTS TOO. The old man was violating THEIR rights. They PAID to HEAR from their Rep. This was NOT a town hall meeting, despite the fact that a Q/A was scheduled.

Try walking into a restaurant or place of business and just start shouting your views at people. See how fast you too are escorted out.

Freedom of Speech does not mean you can say anything you want, wherever you want, any time you want, however you want without any potential consequences.

He should not have been treated in such a fashion, so quickly, everyone has a right to assembly, it is the peacefully that has to be respected and just because this guy raised his voice and didn't hold up his hand for his turn doesn't mean he is immediately set upon and treated like he was attacking the stage.

It is the duty of the law enofrcement to act according to the threat. They overreacted, in my opinion. We have seen a lot of overzealous law enforecement at these types of gatherings and we have seen bad behavior on both sides.

I saw Rommeny handle a heckler and he didn't need the strong arm of the law!

Ryan is a crybaby and if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

LMAO.... the problem Rana is that PRIOR to this guy getting escorted out, others had already been escorted out. So it is quite likely that upon the initial outbursts the Rotary provided guidelines for what would get you tossed. Over 20 people escorted out.... only three arrested. Hmmmm....
