Renewables are useless: The Evidence is Overwhelming

What research have you done to make such a statement?
The fact is you can take heavey duty pickup such as a F-350 dually and have it converted to electric drive (with an optional range extending generator) at any decent engineering shop.
Because of the space available under the bed and in the engine compartment (after the removal of the engine) you could choose your range by buying as many batteries as you need. Also you can use simple off the shelf lead acid batteries so the job is eminently afordable.

Typically an electric fork lift motor is slightly modified and adapted to a manual transmission.
Automatics can be used at a cost if range loss.

A great candidate for conversion is an otherwise good truck with a blown motor. (a situation one will never face again as an industrial electric motor will last for 50 to 100 years and still be repairable.)

I'm sorry but that's just not as realistic as I think it want it to be. I understand that people have their trucks or cars converted but there is a difference between simply having a big truck and actually using it for heavy towing. If I need to drive eight hours across the state towing horses to a rodeo or show having a bunch of batteries isn't probably going to do the job as well as what the truck was actually built for. If dodge or Chevy or another company wants to make a truck that meets all of my needs and can do better than what I have now then I'd be on board and I'm sure my parents would be too, but today that's not realistic. Maybe one day though. There's no reason to feel offended by that.

What makes you think I am offended?
It is my avocation to advocate electric vehicles.
My issue is that you made an inacurate statement as a matter of fact.

Sold my tesla for a profit
I drive electric you asshole
Do you drive fuel cell

You have only told us all about 100 times previously, we know! It would be a bit pointless driving a fuel cell car yet seeing that there are only a handful of filling stations in England just now. Curiously there is one quite close to me, I'll wait until the price of the cars comes down. I saw a couple of Toyota Mirais driving around Saigon last month, nice looking car.

Just the whole "evidence is overwhelming" aspect of the OP title screams agenda.

It's 2 guys at Google. For goodness' sake.

I especially liked the hype about the engineers. These guys aren't like regular engineers, these two understand physics and maths. Written on a first grade level.
Very tommish.

I was just pointing out how impractical your comment was, thought you still lived in the states

Not as lazy as you it seems.
There was nothing about bird kill in that link either.
In fact the gist of the story is that concentrated solar is slightly less competitive than photo-voltiac at this time,
because the price of photo-voltiac panels have dropped rapidly. (The same unforseeable occurance which doomed Solyndra) The article further reports that the prices should balance out by 2020 due to the increased value of storage by that time.
Hardly the death knell you make it out to be.
