You failed.


The need is too great to overcome the intransigent selfishness of the right.


The churches have failed. Faith-based intiatives have failed. Up to now, the government has failed.


Churches should be taxed and the deduction for charitable donations eliminated, and the revenue applied to helping those in need.


Tax cuts for the rich failed. Government has failed.


A new approach is needed.

No, it's self explanatory. You don't volunteer. If you did, you could have told me right off the top of your head, what you do and how many hours a week you do it. The fact that you declined to answer, tells me everything I needed to know, which I already knew.

Now, I can't say that ALL Liberals are like this, I work at the shelter with some Liberals who really do put their money (and time) where their mouth is, and although I disagree with their politics, I respect them for at least contributing their time and energy to something important. But more often than not, Liberal mush-brains like yourself, are too busy posting on the internet and lobbying for the government to steal more of other people's money to help others... you believe you are too good, too valuable to the cause... and too important to get your hands dirty doing actual work.

Your extreme and uncharitable views do that quite well. Do you not see that, to come across as an extreme right winger, puts you with some of the nastiest human beings ever to have lived? Do you not see that your, sometimes silly, put downs of intelligence labels you as a fool?
If you give to charity, if you work for those less fortunate than yourself why, oh why, do you wish to paint yourself as the epitome of intolerance?

You are a blind fool. I don't know how I "come across" and don't really care, to be honest. I am a common-sense pragmatist, first and foremost. I believe in personal responsibility, law and order, and maintaining decency in the community. I believe the role of the government is limited, and enumerated in the Constitution as such. I do not believe it is the roll of my government, or any government to take the place of personal responsibility and accountability. I believe that free market capitalism is the epitome of freedom and the greatest economic power ever created by man. I believe, through prosperity, we rise the tide and float all boats. I believe that conservative policies and initiatives will ultimately benefit individuals MORE than anything our government could ever hope to achieve through entitlement.

Now I am sorry if that rubs you the wrong way, but there is no need in ascribing "evilness" to me. I am a benevolent and giving person. I have always been this way, for as long as I remember... my parents taught me to be charitable at a very early age, and it never left me. I raised all my children to be this way, and they are raising their children with the same attribute. I am proud of this, and nothing anyone on pissant message board has to say to me, will ever change that. You should really try not to judge books by the cover. Bad habit!
